Good job man! I know they are going to continue to be mad as hell, who CARES.

The truth always offends when poor people try to defend a waste and bluff miester.

If all this money wasn't lost, then we wouldn't have had to go to the IMF.

Time is running out on the uwp, they have done very little in three years, from three budgets and i see no prospective in the remaining two years. Now Springer istelling us the election will be a hard one for the opposition because the report will hanging over their heads. If i understand him clearly, he is saying when election time comes and we the people ask the uwp to show us their achievements or the work we were paying them to do, they will flash us A REPORT, and we as so STUPID we will automatically re-elect them to waste another five year term in office. I repeat it again, Kenny, yes KENNY provided all of us with a secondary school place, so we cannot easily be fooled as before.

Mr Denys Springer served on the Board of NCA under the SLP government alongside people like Mrs Angelina John, Mr Ivor Daniel, Mr. John Husbands, Mr Albert St. Clair,
Miss Madgerie Jameson, Miss Nandi Deterville and Mr.Wilfred Maxwell. If the NCA was corrupt why didn't he write any particles about it then? If the NCA was corrupt, then so was Denys who serve on the Board in a policy making position and had access to all of NCA's records and didn't say or wite a thing.

Maybe he wanted something special from the SLP and he did not get it, so he is mad about that, maybe somebody might have some idea what it is.

Anonymous said...

Regarding the second comment, if the uwp did not waste our money themselves, they would not have to go to the IMF, If you are to blind to see the waste, more informed sources will educate you later. I am tired of hearing people blame the previous government for the incompetence of the present government, remember they promised us they are capable of doing better than the SLP. Now they cannot or have not performed, all we hear is the SLP made the mistakes, that is why we cannot perform. What have they done from the three budgets they presented to us?.

Anonymous said...

SLP gave our money away.

Anonymous said...

If you read the Star last week, you would have seem for yourself the hotel project that we started, it was an investment that would have brought jobs to St Lucia gone bad. So nobody just gave away money maliciously. As matter of fact the hotel still got constructed under another arrangement. My question is what has this government done to bring jobs to us? In the last budget King promised us 7000 jobs this year, we remain just over two months for the year to end. Where are the jobs?

Anonymous said...

Well, they (SLP) should at least acknoledge that they screwed-up big time so that we can move on, otherwise it will haunt them over and over again.

Anonymous said...

The SLP have paid for screwing up, we voted them out, what can they do about it now, it cannot be reversed. They also did many good things in the country, which you never mention. The problem we have now is a government who cannot show anything good it has achieved in three years. We cannot concentrate on the SLP, they have done their job, and they are no longer in office. We must now hold the present responsible for non performance.

Anonymous said...

The SLP has not paid for being booted out of office. We the people of St Lucia demand that they make changes within their party. None of us should feel comfortable knowing that the same group of fellas who gave the country tons of banton want to return again to give it more banton.

No real country loving individual can take the SLP serious at this time.

You can't clean a dirty situation with the same dirty crew!

Anonymous said...

I agree. Since the SLP are the ones who want to return to office they should expect equal scrutiny. It is a good thing that we are examining their past conduct. Given what we know now, this is the only way to establish a degree of honesty in all future governments. No party deserve a free pass whether in power or in opposition.

The UWP, the SLP, and all others to come must now deal with the changing nature of the politics. No pass, no easy way to victory!

Anonymous said...

Which "WE" the people of St Lucia that demand the SLP make changes? Some of my fellow St Lucians always ask for change, but i believe change for change sake is not good, we must change for the better. How do we know what when we change, we will not end up for the worse like we have in St Lucia today? It is better we keep what we know, than we change to become worse.

Anonymous said...

The media should quickly air the politicians dirty laundry so they'll be exposed for the whole bloody world to see. The free press should be the guardian of Fair Helen.

Anonymous said...

Right now we do not want to hear about any dirty linen of politicians in St Lucia, because it does not matter who we put in, there will always be dirty linen. Prove me wrong. Right now we need men who could have St Lucia moving again, to create jobs for the masses, to put St Lucia back where it was, at lease before the last three years. We need strong leaders in this hard economic time who could formulate strong policies. We do not need a PM with no ambition who did not prepare himself educationally for the office that he holds. We do not need a government with only dirty linen and no work as we have now.

Anonymous said...

Don't blame the country for Kenny's dirty laundry being out there. Blame Kenny!

I care for jobs as much as I care about corruption whether it be government or opposition. Corruption and deception does not make for a good St Lucia. Any attempt to accept the sick culture should worry every honest St Lucian.

Anonymous said...

I think the media has just woke-up, a few years late but they're alert now and I think politicians will think twice before trying to screw Fair Helen again.

Anonymous said...

I am not saying that kenny dirty laundry should not be made public. What is i am saying is how much more can we say about kenny? It is about 5 years were are hearing the same things over and over again, week after week. We voted him out of office, for the better, we now end up with the worse government we can ever have on this island. We cannot change anything that Kenny did, it is already done. There was not one government that ever govern St Lucia that did not waste our money or made many mistakes (name one). They were voted out and they were re-elected, even though Odlum and company were on the market steps very often reminding people of all the mistakes of the government. So repeating the same things every day will not prevent people from re- electing Kenny if they have to, if that is the goal of the writers, because they still can remember the good things that he did. We allow this government to pass quietly, killing time, creating scandals after scandals and doing nothing with our tax money, and we concentrate on Kenny. Before we know it, it will be election time and our country will be behind by 5 years, because of the stupid choise we made.

Anonymous said...

You just don't get it, do you? You see 'numbers matter' and these are pretty big numbers so it scares the hell out of people. That is why the people will not take another chance on him.

At the end of the day the argument of SLP hacks is not the competence of Dr. Anthony to lead the country again but merely whether or not he can win the next elections because of the travails of the present government.

Maybe Dr. Anthony has some private reason to expect greater success this time around if his syncophantic followers get their wish and he again attains the Prime Ministership.

More likely, though, he is just doubling down on his clearly poor judgement, and poor leadership , thinking that this time around he can cover his tracks better.

Dr. Anthony seems inspired above all by his grand, unlimited, vaulting self-confidence that is not matched by his performance but buttressed by the fact that the crop of politicians we have in St. Lucia today do not have the character or the gumption to prove him incorrect or challenge his position.

This former Prime Minister can sometimes appear to be an impressive man, if only with the words he utters and not the results of his leadership. But it's not reassuring that he seems even more impressed with himself than others are with him. The situation is so bad that party hacks are willing to concede his incompetence but (like their leader) are impressed with how he "looks" while leading incompetently, as though this is sufficient for him to lead this island state of 165,000 souls.

At least with one previous Prime Minister, hubris followed prior, ego-inflating triumphs.

Kenny (or Tony) seem to be exhibiting all the symptoms with none of the initial success that normally induces the disease.

What is your point? I have read this 3 times and i am more confused each time.

This is not a place we try to impress others with our style of writing, it is a simple discussion board where we air our views, If you want to display your writing skills you should write a book.

Anonymous said...

After learning of how incompetent Kenny was as PM, you honestly believe that St Lucians made a bad choice?

Which is it? Are you saying that it was wrong for St Lucians to throw Kenny out of office? I hope this is not what you are saying? Are you saying that he was beyond reproach and that his activities while in government did not warrant a rebuff by the people?

Please understand that if anybody is responsible for us being where we are today, it is Kenny! Had Kenny done his job right, had not distant himself from the people who elected him, had not become arrogant even when it was clear that there were missing parts to his stretegy for good goverance, we would not be where we are today.

Perhaps it would be fitting for him to own up to this, instead of constantly seeking to beat the people of this country with a pipe on the head for doing the right thing in 2006.

Anonymous said...

Great Job Mr. Springer. Week in and week out you force idiots to come in here an react with frustration. They wish the subject would change and that Kenny would not be the focus of attention.

To bad! They have no choice but to whether the storms of truth.

Anonymous said...

By the way, Nicholas Joseph has even more unpleasant news for the Kenny stups. They frustration level has just started. No way to ease the pain of denial. Read it in the STAR.

No its not from Rick Wayne, Jason or Maryanna...Its from their own. Of course they will be quick to tell you that he isn't.

Anonymous said...

If you have nothing to say, please keep quiet. We did not learn how incompetent Kenny was, we all know Kenny made mistakes, as every government have done in the past, but kenny works is all over St Lucia for us to see. Kenny could have never been more incompetent that the government we have today. I will bet my last dollar, the people of St Lucia WILL re- elect Kenny whenever an election is called. I am saying without a doubt that it was a mistake to vote in what we have in St Lucia as government today. The whole caribbean was supprised to hear that the people of St Lucia. changed the government, because St Lucia was the envy of the caribbean, to have the country stagnant now. This government has no blame for the state of the country, it is only Kenny. How did kenny distance himself the people? Kenny gave the most interviews to the media. How many times have you heard KIng? How is Kenny arrogant? Next time you will blame kenny for to much rain in St Lucia.

There seems to be no limit to this man's hypocrisy and shame. Nowhere in this arictle does Springer say he was a member of the NCA Board, while the "mafiosi" was in control. He doesn't reveal one thing he did while on the NCA Board to bring the underhand dealings of Henry Charles to light. Not only did he do nothing on the inside, on the outside he publicly defended Menissa Rambally. He never resigned from the NCA Board even after the Monrose report was published. This man collected his fat allowance and turned a blind eye to the bobol in the NCA. So when Springer writes: "we have to think of the webs that were being weaved by those who were in responsible positions" he is really describing himself as one of the spiders. There is no doubt Kenny "bobbed" (sic) and goofed" but Springer is just as guilty for what kenny did because he supported it while he was on the NCA and by all those articles he wrote in support of the SLP while all the bobol was going on. It's high time Springer is made to stop his hypocrisy. The man has no shame.

Anonymous said...

We are not frustrated with Springer writing, we are frustrated with the none performing government we have in St Lucia today. He could write until dooms day, He cannot prevent us from voting out the incompetent uwp in two years time. Nicholas Joseph was a member of the slp then plp, but he was not a member of the slp whiles Kenny was leader.

Anonymous said...

Immediately after last elections he was all dressed in red and advocting for Labours return. He took a special flight to Castries East. I was present when he addressed the COMRADES, including Kenny LOL.

Yes you all are frustrated. What you all thought would have been a cake walk to ejecting the UWP from office is turning out to be a disc on Kenny's stewardship. If this isn't frustrating I can't imagine what isn't. LOL

You can run your mouth as much as you want about winning the next election. I fully respect your opionion. Remember its only an opinon and that's only what it is. LOL

You are within your rights to make idiotic statements and within yoru rights to dream large. The only think is that dreaming does not count. Reality does.

Anonymous said...

Nicholas Joseph was a Odlum follower, he was Forumn, then SLP, then PLP, then Alliance of late, so God knows what he is now, so he is no longer a member of the SLP.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Yeah, you shameless one!

Anonymous said...

You really believe that St Lucians will vote uwp for a second term? I know my people, they are not that stupid, a mistake is only made once. You and all your friends has given millions of reasons why you do not want Kenny. But please give me only two good reasons why we should vote for the uwp. We know the contest will be between SLP and uwp, because no new party can win an election in St Lucia in the near future, as a matter of fact any new party will only cause the SLP to WIN ALL THE SEATS.

Anonymous said...

Keeping dreaming. What you don't know is bigger than you. lol

Anonymous said...

You are not dreaming, what are the facts?

Anonymous said...

What you don't know is that Kenny go get his tale chooped. Go ask Frederick if you not sure of what is to come.

The man is damaged goods, a kind of juju for anyone with a plan to railroad the SLP.

How comes you don't know?

Anonymous said...

Which Frederick you talking about, i hope it is not that none performer Richard, you talking about, because that man do not even know which shoe he is standing in. He is not wanted in the uwp, he tried for 2nd deputy of the party they kicked him out, they gave it to some fool called Easy Cal. He left the convention with a rage. He is in court for dishonestly towards his own government, he took his own government to court for our money. We have to ask him where are the house he promised us in Marigot? We must ask him, where is his salary he promised to give to us? We must ask him, how comes his peace and love football is producing more crime in Castries? etc, etc. So it is no hope for him.

Anonymous said...

Their chickens have come home to roost, never again will a politician try to screw the people because we demand more.

Anonymous said...

Yep, you got it right. The same Frederick for whom the SLP does not have an answer. The same one that keeps tabs on Kenny's bussiness. Think you are ready for what he is about to disclose?

LOL

I don't think so.

It is so sad!

I am a St. Lucian who has been away from his lovely home for 20 plus years. My memories are of a spirit of love, song, dance and neighborhood. Yes we differed on sujects like religeon, politics, and even who was the best band; Reasons or Magic Circle, etc. etc.

However, today we are presented with the most vile generation ever expected. DO NOT APPOSE ME OR ELSE!

One is not even free to report the results of a "fact finding investigation".

My fellow St. Lucians, continue to destroy all that appose you. Cripple your government so that it becomes unable to function; thus, YOU remain stagnant, all because they had the audacity to beat those you supported, and see if you don't end up standing alone on a lonely beach somewhere, wondering why everyone seems to have vanished.

Soooo much hatred!

So Sad!

I agree with you but I would love to be on a beach right now sipping a Piton or two, I miss that.

This is how the dictators do it..

Cuban blogger Yoani Sanchez says she has been denied government permission to travel to New York to receive a top journalism prize.

Yoani Sanchez's blog made her an international sensation

Ms Sanchez has become an international sensation for offering frank criticism of her country's communist system.

She had hoped to go to Colombia University for a Wednesday ceremony to receive her Maria Moors Cabot prize, described as the oldest international award in journalism.

Writing on her "Generation Y" blog, Yoani Sanchez said Cuban immigration had confirmed that she remains prohibited from leaving the island.

The Associated Press news agency refers to her as one of the few Cubans who dares denounce Cuba's single-party government so openly.

Anonymous said...

Most people have no idea how hard it is in Cuba and only the government can change that. They have to relax the rules if they want the embargo to be lifted.

Anonymous said...

I wish the SLP would take a cue from Cuba and make St Lucia a single party. If we get to office this is something we must institute. St Lucia is too small to have more than one party. The SLP should be only party in this land.

My Canadian friend married a Cuban guy she met when she was on holidays and it took her 4 years to get him out of Cuba, she almost gave up.
It is like a huge prison you know, and the food they give is not enough.
