Many unemployed residents were encouraged after the PM’s visit to the recently reopened Copra Factory, after which the Prime Minister pledged the government’s support to Kenneth Gazabourn in restoring full operation to the factory which once employed over two hundred employees and produced over five different products but now operates with a staff of twenty and produces only Magic Coconut Oil since its closing before the passage of Hurricane Tomas last year.

Are you guys serious jokers?

Square pegs in round holes.... you guys are so lost...where is the economic plan, a social agenda, etc in stead of these nipple suckers, of the sufferers.

My fellow st lucians and the people of soufriere, Do not let this prime Minister and his cohort fool us, Is it a way for Chastenet to make believe with his phony face. There are lots of question needs to be answered by him, The prime Minister and others.
Do they think that they will come to the soufriere people and fool them.
A couple years ago when The former decease Minister of tourism Mr Lansiquot Stood on Mr Clem Bobb Tv station and lied to the people of soufriere by telling them His plans for soufriere was to Transform Soufriere into a little town in paris. and to this day never happened bunch of liars and crooks and chastenet is trodding that same path.
What he needs to say about october of 2009 at the Fcca conference held at Almond grove where each delegate paid to the FCCa $700 to over $1000.00 US, For food, TRansportation, Entertainment.
Now Who in turn paid for all these Mr Chastenet with the goverment of st lucia. And still turn out to give the FCCA millions of our tax payers dollars. Also there are many Blunders even sanction by Mr King.
So becarefull as election nears.
They have bribe us and they will countinue to do so.

My people of Soufriere
Allan Chastent is a man full of JAWS,
let him fulhil his promises to the people of Micoud.
This simple test will run him out
from his game.
1.where are the hotles?
2.where are the envying of the rest
of the Villages?
a drowning man catching at a uwp straw, lowdown depraved government
ministers holding on to power on the eve of an election, borrowing millions a heavy burden on the overburdened taxpayer's shoulders;money, no doubt a camouflage, for their political campaign trying to accomplish what whould have been done from the very first.King and Chastenet and the residue of the uwp.You can dupe some of the imbeciles some times but you can't hoodwink all the travailing people at any time. King call the election now, or see a,political psychologist.

http://www.thevoiceslu.com/features/2011/september/01_09_11/Caretaker.htm

The people of Soufriere must be wondering, what have they done to deserve the constant parade of a caretaker that three Justices of Appeal from The Court of Appeal Document “HCVAP 2009/031” refer to as acting ‘unreasonably’ or ‘irrationally’ to describe the wrongfulness of his decision making.

Already, there is too many who continue to suck on the nipples of mother Helen “Saint Lucia” Helen of the West Indies.

Getting rid of the predators who harbor such acts will be a priority in this election cycle, by voting out of office caretakers and the King Administration - en mass to the dust bins of Saint Lucia’s political history.

Anonymous said...

Voters, have every reason to be distrustful of a King administration that comprises a Minister of Government, a Caretaker and Minister for Tourism that three Justices of Appeal from The Court of Appeal describe as - not a credible and reliable witness as his claim that he was “one thousand percent sure” he was absent from the Cabinet meeting of June 26, 2008 is contradicted by the Cabinet minutes which record him as being present.

Anonymous said...

If Allan can answer these simple questions he has my vote,

1.What does Tuxedo judgment say about Allen Chastanet? And how do you defend such a scolding by the Justice of Appeal for your conduct, leadership and credibility?

2.After shopping and being denied in two constituencies why Soufriere with the help of the local political elites?

3.What’s your opinion in relation to decriminalizing Marijuana? You should know by now Soufriere is weed country.

Please answer, no spin no bull.

America with all it's wealth suffering. I personally think stlucia has done pretty well in these trying times. I am also a labour supporter but I have concience. I too have made a daily bread under this administration. for this my vote will go to the uwp this election. I know my parents will roll in their grave but my family's welfare comes first. Chu no matter what u people say is a god sent to this nation.

Mr Lytton Lamontagne Who has sell his sold, after the death of his father Did recieve Fond doux estate, It was about to go bankrupt Then he got the job as chairman for the foundation, Then allign himself with Chastenet, The they bring a whole lot of maggots at the fondation Such as pinnock who could't manage the copra factory. and all these and many others have allign themselves with chastenet Making believe that he is their savior.
We who are from soufriere knows better.
It is the like of these guys who have not done nothing for the town of soufriere.
Also you have the Owner for chastenet [Nick] Who believe he owns soufriere.
Instead they invest in the town and our young people They Exploit them for cheap labour.
It is time that for not just soufriere but the nation wake up and see these crooked guys are their to enrichied themselves, their Families, and their Cronies.
I hope that all the young people and the people of soufriere wake up for the Dislikes of Chastenet and the king goverment.
IF WE AS ST LUCIANS FAIL TO PLAN,WELL WE BETTER GET READY TO FAIL TO PLAN.

Another water sports Zone? One should question if any consultation has been done? The Soufriere Marine Management Association (SMMA). The organisation that has been given the mandate to protect and manage the area, were they consulted before persons were hired to cut all the trees? Was NCA consulted? was the Department of Fisheries consulted? the area is a Fishing priority Area under the world renown SMMA?

UWP out this election. It doesn't matter how much money they give to us, that is, after 4 1/2 years we will not lulled into a state of idiocy. I am no kakabak and the people of Soufriere are not fools either. We are voting King, Chastanet,Frederick, Rufus, Gail, guy and guy, Arsene, doddy and Ezechiel.

There will be lots of surprises in this election. PM King mark my words--God is still on His throne--the level of immorality in this government is simply too high.

Correction...we voting all of them out.

So because USA is the way it is, because of the greed of the wealthy, we in St Lucia must follow suit? We must delibrately elect an incompetent UWP government who has no clue of how to think of, or to implement any positive policy to move the country forward. There is no reason for the USA to be suffering, they suffer because of the greed of the rich. What is wrong in St Lucia is, we elected a government it is nearly 5 yrs. They have presented 5 budgets with all kinds of promises in it. The have borrowed hundreds of millions of dollars increasing our national debt, yet nobody can see anything they have done with these moneys. The only thing happening in the country are small projects here and there by the Taiwanese. Nobody is saying what the Taiwanese is doing is not good but what we are saying is, Taiwan is not the government of St Lucia. What has the government we elected done for the big salary we are paying them for the 5 years? Although I agree Taiwan is doing what they can, but I will still say we do not need a foreign government to do measly things for us as building gutters, steps and footpaths. We suppose to be able to do these things for ourselves from our budgets. What we need from a foriegn to do for us is things we cannot afford like hospitals, schools, stadiums, cultural centers etc, etc.

For the person who said Tom Chou is a God sent and they are make a living under this administration. I would say to them good for you, lucky you. But how many St Lucians can find work from foot path project? How long does a concrete court project last that you could make a living on that? How long will these bluff election projects last, that you will beable to make a sustainable. Form? All these projects are hand to mouth.

When SLP was in office things were diffrent, they had the Chenese donating massive projects to us, they finance and built it themselves with a few St Lucians working with them. But there were many other projects of the government being built at the same time where many St Lucians could have found work. At that time people could not find cement easily in the shops because there was so much construction going on in the country. Cement would finish as soon as a shipment come in port. So these bias people should think before they speak.

This guy is no phony; he is genuine; we have had sufficient time with him in St.Lucia to prove that.

People remember we (St.Lucians) are not the only ones ready those blogs. If Taiwanese or others are ready those blogs they will conclude that a large number of St.Lucians are idiots and makaks.

Some of the bloggers are simply pathetic with no sense of rationality and intelligence. Tom Chou must be turning up his nose at some of you who believe that short term projects are benefiting St.Lucia.

massive projects huh? It's like u building a big house but can't furnish or maintain it. Such idiots. The US now is trying to adopt the same policy of grassroots project to help stabilize their bleedif economy. You know I have said it before and will say it again " just can't wait for the old generation of you idiots to perish so that young intelligent and logical thinking persons like us take over this place. I know stlucians don't like to read hence the reason 90 percent of you can't give a proper interview without murdering the English language. You buffoons should remove the colored wool off of y'all eyes and critic policies for what they are. I personally think that te policies this administration has adopted in these trying times is the right one. Huge projects will come but u need a stable economy in order to realize massive projects. And bare in mind stlucia is poor freaking country with no natural resources. Stop acting like every stlucian has an oil well intheir back yard.

I guess many of them are just sitting on their laurels.
Many don't even think for themselves, they just run with the flow, Like this election is about apopularity contest show, where they just shout and scream like they don't know what they about,
Thank god all are not the same and you have independent thinkers who will weigh the issues first before saying anything, or doing .
They will be able to convince some that st lucia is heading the wrong direction with this goverment and their policies.
And someone will take note, whiles unfortunately some will never see the light of day, Because they have been addicted to a party.

I think the Minister of Tourism should concentrate on the small things, for example hiring more people to pick up the rubbish around the Island. In particular, the south end of Reduit Beach, very bad after the weekends. The stinky smell near the Lime, which is a health hazard, breeding mosquitoes and rats. How can the Minister of Health allow this to continue.

Perhaps putting more garbage bins on the beach, tying them down and emptying them regularly. Erecting signs notifying people that they will be fined for littering.

Encourage people to bring their own bags to the grocery store, these bags are everywhere even in the sea when we are swimming.

Comments from a tourist.

Soufrière c'est Sainte-Lucie.

In Soufriere for Example where tourism flourishes The very same guys who follow chastanet all over are the very ones who prey on our young people for cheap labour, Many of them have big business and don't contribute a dime to the community, No wonder our youg people have gone astray into drugs, The ones who are suppose to help are the very same ones who are taking advatage over them.
Whiles it is true they are responsible for their actions, They need guidance and a sence of direction, If Pinnock, Lytton, Gaspard, Nick, CLem, cool breeze and many others who have the wealth of soufriere were just not recieving but giving this would have made awhole lot of difference in the lives of our young people.
So it goes to Every counstituency in st lucia.
It is time that our people wake up cause this is a time of INFORMATION and ENLIGHTENMENT.

workinprogress said...

It's actually quite disturbing to see that these politicians believe that the people of st. lucia deserve nothing more than to live hand to mouth and paycheck to paycheck monthly. What's even more disheartening is that our people have come to accept this and believe that this is all they are worth.
People like Chastanet would like to have our young people believe that they should be relegated to a life of performing cheap labour (building hotels and water sports docks) so that he and his rich hotel owning aristocratic friends can continue to prosper and pimp St. Lucia and St. Lucians for all that they can.

Why are we always acting as though we have nothing in St. Lucia? St Lucia is a problamatic place not because of lack of money but because of the lack of decency in the people. We have become a classless people with no moral standards. No matter how much money we have we wil always suffer as long as we do not have standards.

Trinidad has a larger per capita GDP than us but still have to call a state of emergency. Why - because they also have no standards and are a failed immoral state. Watch out when they run out of oil.

We see it in our politicians and the voters. One set want to keep a corrupt incompetent UWP in power while another set want to get a corrupt, incompetent SLP with a failed leader back into power.

Many of our workers do not pay income tax. We have the enormous total of over 500,000 cruise ship passengers arriving every year. On any given day with ships in Castries harbour we see hundreds of van loads of tourists going down to Soufriere with the drivers earning up to $1,000 per trip. A lot of these taxi drivers pay no taxes and have endless women on the side and children with single mothers.

We have free education, free health care even if it is not fully up to a 1st world standard.

Yet we have politicians like true socialists with no idea what they are supposed to do in governing a country except turning people into mendicants by promising more and more freeness.

The problem with St. Lucia is ourselves. we listen to self styled pundits on radio and television some of who are accused rapists and have been castigated by judges in court yet we listen to their failed bleatings every day.

SLP or UWP - it does not matter because we are making our country a failed one.

For your information,
We do NOT have free education!
We do NOT have free Health care!

Since you know the problem, do you have any idea of the solution? What should we do when the time comes to elect an administration for the next five years?

Anonymous said...

Where that person got his information from, maybe he left St Lucia so long and he mal travia so he is dreaming that St Lucia is freeness country. I advice him to stay where he is because he will get more freeness there, than he will ever get in S Luciab, cause there is NOTHING free in St Lucia except a few gren bois. If he expect a trip to Soufriere will get him a $1000 he better think again. If he expect to do mini bus or taxi and not pay taxes in St Lucia he better stay where he is. I want to ask him, when the machants import the car or van pay taxes to the government and pass these taxes on the buyers, what do you call that not taxes? When you pay your licence on a car is that not a tax? When you pay for a route band, is that not a tax? When you pay for your taxi number plate, is that not a tax? When you buy tires and parts and the machants passes the tax they pay to you, how would you call that? Yes drivers pay no taxes in St Lucia, so you can work hard go to St Lucia buy a van for thousands of dollars, you will make a futune and pay no taxes. Dream along...........

We are not fools! St.Lucians know too well that the persons benefiting from OUR MONEY that the Taiwanese are giving to the UWP's are the UWP themselves. All of them are either millionaires or have made fortunes from the Taiwanese dollars. Oh what shame when those same UWP's go to Parliament making excuses about a recession.

You MEN and now WOMEN of the UWP will pay tremendously for the pain and suffering you are causing to us who voted you in. My vote is one more vote to the SLP and one less vote to the UWP.

King I am from Castries North...just a note and a reminder to you.

Anonymous said...

I will do the right thing this election. King needs to know that he has a tough fight ahead of him with his contender, Dr. Ubaldus Raymond.

I am a voter from Castries North, and Mr. King apparently has accepted the notion that his contender Dr. Ubaldus Raymond is getting too likable in that constituency. The longer Mr.King waits to call the election the worse it gets for him since Dr. Raymond is already making a sweep with his likable factor among the people of Castries North.

Mr. King call the election now! If PM King does not do the right thing and call the election, I'd say to him i-domie.
