Interesting, who will operate the hotel? Between Praslin (started but unfinished), Raffles (started but unfinished), & the Ritz Carlton (ahem, started but unfinished), St Lucia will have no lack of building sites...
What are your thoughts? Does St Lucia need another construction site, in a protected heritage area?
st lucia is busy selling its heritage .the worldheritage name was given to enhance sales of property to be built within the heritage site. nest step?exclusion of non heritage dwellers like ahem locals
There's nothing worse than an ex-world heritage site. That'll sure send a message to visitors if we continue on this road.... come see what we can't manage. come see how we destroy some of the few resources we have.
This development is nowhere near the Piton management area, so I thing there is some confusion there. When people say they are against this development they think its because it is affecting our World Heritage Status. In actuality the two issues are not connected at all.
