CSA STRIKE ON

42 comments:

  1. Replace the deadwood rather quickly. Put the unemployed to work. We need patriots in the service and not leeches nor two-legged rodents.

  4. KENNY ANTHONY has brought St. Lucia to its knees from his incompetence, low level of acumen on economic and financial issues facing the country.

It turns out that KENNY ANTHONY is really just a SHAM.

And hides his emptiness with a strange form of arrogance.

What a mess in which he has left St. Lucia. This country is now bleeding through its nose and in its brain; because KENNY ANTHONY has been a terrible leader since 1997 and made a complete mess of things.

Sadly, under his management of Government; and his well known dictatorship style of leadership, millions of dollars vanished from the Treasury, whether as a result of scandals like National Conservation Authority [NCA] or Rochamel, or Grenberg, Cannelles Development; and the list goes on.

Shame on you KENNY ANTHONY! SHAME ON YOU. You have done this country BAD.

  9. State of emergency. Then accelerated training of key ministries especially revenue collection. The newcommers can hardly do worse all the rot that is in the CSA today.

The public will not even notice the difference in service. The public will settle with what is the new norm within weeks. People adapt. We will survive the attempted embarrassment by this demagogue of a trade unionist, giving trade unions a very bad name.

The same members today will want to be part of government and do what Kenny has done to us with the VAT. We in this country just love to recycle sh t.

Can you now list the failures of the past administration? How the Queens Chain has been sold, how all the lands of Black Bay and other beach front property is now owned by a foriegn company?

  11. Imagine the Civil Status Registry was one of the most affected places. This place is the most disorganized, frustrating place to do business with a bunch of employees who are incompetent and have no customer service skills, yet they want a 9.5% increase. I'm not surprised they did not show up, they never do, even when they are in the building.

  12. I repeat. Sack em all.

  13. Well played, GOSL. However, someone should tell the NICE people that employment within the private sector would've better served these recruits. You know, where an actual skill or trade can be learnt. Why waste millions developing yet another batch of skill-less clerical workers?

Why didn't the government propose to subsidize a third of the recruit's salary and offer a few concessions in exchange for private sector hiring? I doubt that given the current VAT-induced economic climate that large and small businesses would be especially averse to this.

I understand that this proposal takes time and planning, but you've had a year to implement. Why rush to implement a program with ineffective or minuscule results? What happens to these recruits when the year-long contract expires?

  14. Put these idiots out to pasture. It is time for them to earn their keep elsewhere. Fire their tails. All of them. No work. No salary. No reinstatement.

  16. People operating with historical past paradigms are like the proverbial 'boiled frog'. They cannot see that a sea change has happened. They like the frog will boil in the water rising ever so gradually in temperature.

  17. Please try to refrain from nasty personal attacks and let the discussion be guided by logic. Criticize bad policies, poor governance or decisions, I could care less if the person's "kalson" is stained. Insults will lead us nowhere - especially if the person hurling the insults shows obvious signs of dyslexia and semi-literacy. Do better.

  26. The CSA has ONLY 2 (two) gears: HARDLY WORKING and STOP. They are in second gear most of the time. But now, they are in first gear: STOP.

  27. 601 PM said to Jadia that this is the last time her will walk down the corridorof power. Is that person death or dumb? Who is there to replace them? The only thing apart from the SLP that look like a party in St Lucia are King, Guy, Frederick, Ass tar Fan, Ass in James and some dr woman who cut her hair, that is all that remain of the UWP.Everybody else bail out because they lost an election. You really believe St Lucians are so stupid to put our country in the hands of King and Frederick

  28. Or Guy Joseph? These guys was in office, have we forgotten every week was a different SCANDAL? These guys created history in St Lucia with so many of them getting arrested by police for breaking the country law, some were found guilty in the high court for being dishonest with the country purse. Etc, etc.

  32. What Ms.Mary Isaac doing is to get the best possible result in negotiating with government. Thats here job.How she doing this everyone can have his own opinion.
The menbers was probably not informed by their leaders that a employer have rights too when it commes to strike action, with not paying for this time.
Unions paying normally the people when on strike. Here we have a system unions collecting membership fees but not paying for times like this.
To show good will and equal treatment of all government employees the prime minister have to show how he cut from the top and not only asking the small man for sacrifices.
