Everybody striking in St.Lucia seems to me the government is not doing a great job after all, they promised more than they can deliver.Call elections now and get over it, these guys are incompetant.
There is not one government department that is not in confussion, but the government use all their energies to attack Kenny, instaed of working for the tax salaries we are paying them.
In my area there has been no water since yesterday, I hope no baby dies because the mother has no access to clean water. Why are they not using emergency cover for these situations, there are real hygiene issues to be considered here. I would be more supportive if they had put cover in place.
ZEIGY, you are at it again, we all know you are not right in the head. It is already three years, when will VAT will be implemented? When will they recover moneys from cost overruns? They must also rcover the millions that disappeared from the Chastanet ministry. They must also recover the under voiceing of Frederick from the custom. They must also recover the rent money they are paying for King, when we have provided him with a PM residence. They must also recover the money for paving a good road in Convay. They must also recover the salaries from these incompetent ministers who have done no wok in three years. They must also recover the three millions wasted on an inquire we all had already all about.etc,etc. Two more years and we will never hear about these uwpeeeees again, because they are finished.
the person who wrote about the VAT is right, it is the poor who will suffer most, the rich might have to do with less, like one less yacht but they won't even notice, where is the care and compassion for the less well off?
There goes the non government again. WASCO strikes, will CSA make it's presence felt with the transfer of Accountant General and his deputy. That is why Kenny asked about moral authority. Who will bell the UWP CAT surely not Rick Wayne or Timothy Poleon. Kenny please come to our rescue.
WHAT the heck is that, pple are SICK with swine flu and they need water! they cant shut off the water! Strike outside government buildings or shut off water THERE but we dont have anything to do wit their problems! GOD!
Nobody cares about the government, they will be out in two years anyway. What the people cares about is for the government to work as they promised, clean up the mess they said we had in the country, and not to create more. We are paying them our taxes.
Hang on , hang on! When profit becomes a motive quality does not suffer. Better quality naturally leads to higher profits because the demand for your service increases.
Quality, however, may suffer in the case of a monopoly which is the situation we could have here.
But my argument to that is the private sector would be able to delivery the service better and cheaper than the government can.
The government, thus, has freed up public funds that can go to other social programs.
Who are they going to compete with? Anyway the government has understood that it was a wrong approach and that is why they have taken their proposal off the table.

Or look at it this way, they are taking the tough decisions that Kenny's Administration deferred.
Implementing VAT as well to recover monies lost from cost overruns.

When will this government start working?
Don't confuse my being not right in the head with your inability to follow statements I make. Get over it, you're dunce.

Here in Canada, we've had VAT for a long time and it does help the poor and funds many many social programs.
Go ahead! Strike, Strike, Strike until you'll blue in the face. This government is not going any were in a hurry. Deal with it.

Whoever propose to privatize the production of water was the stupidest moron ever. You just can't do that.
Care to elaborate? After all the idea is to improve the quality of service.
Communities that have been going without water for years will be glad to finally see a regular water supply, I'm sure, even if it means higher prices.
When you privatize something it becomes about profit and when profit is the goal then quality suffers and prizes also go up.
Anything but the basics like water, those things are also tied to the security of a nation, you cannot outsource those things.
Hang on , hang on! When profit becomes a motive quality does not suffer. Better quality naturally leads to higher profits because the demand for your service increases.
