I say, let the customs officer go free. What he has done is no different from what we have allowed our politicians do. That is, using their position to steal revenue from the country. I think that what the young man has to do now is to sue the government and by extension the people of St Lucia. He needs to contract a lawyer who will use underhand tactics to keep the matter out of the courts. While this is going on, he must feign humility and continue to proclaim that 'who jah bless, no man can curse'. What's good for the goose must be good for the gander!

Shut up, will you? U R sooooo bitter, you should really consider getting a life you know.

Anonymous #1...I quite agree with you. Indeed, what has he done differently than those thugs in government...yes, he is no big shots, therefore the law of the land will apply to him...

he was only following the examples stemming from the top...LET THE MAN GO...

In court he should tell the judge that he was only following the examples of the uwp government ministers...

And we complain the country going down the drain. This is the exact attitude we have always had and now the results are getting out of hand. Continue harboring the criminals, continue being blind, continue being deaf.... You can rest assured that things will not be better. There is a time when a stand must be taken and I think it must start now.

Leave that to the judge, will you people?

All you self-righteous yellow tadpoles....where is the cry to get rid of those thugs in office stealing from the customs and suing the government?

Anonymous #2, MY, my a little peeved are we. I may sound bitter to the average ostrich, but you sound 'desolay'. Has the 'bitter' truth hit a raw nerve? As a true patriot I will dedicate part of my life to help my country advance. You, my friend need to get some ethics... not from the current group of moral dwarfs...they don't have any!

Alas, this poor man, no doubt, will feel the full force of the law...meanwhile, we have UWP government ministers undervaluing invoice(s), suing THIER own government; Tuxedogate, convicted criminals, incompetent and stupid AG, the list goes and then some...God alone knows what else...

What's good for the goose should be good for than gander...the custom officer was only following in the foot steps of his superiors, but since he is poor, he will, undoubted feel the full brunt of the law...and the UWP thugs are having a field day...makes me sick to my stomach!!

No, you're actually sick with Red Eyes cuz all you see is red, red, red, go find some penicillin.

Anonymous said...

If seeing red is seeing the wrong that is being done to the country, then I say bring on the sickness!Bring on the penicillin! We need more people to be sickened and morally outraged by the rampant corruption and ineptitude of this band of misfits.

If seeing red means being able to see the wrong that is being done to the country, then bring on the sickness! bring on the pencillin! We need more people to be outraged by the rampant corruption and ineptitude of this bunch of misfits.

I have been reading the various blogs for months....reserving the right not to comment but to be informed.

It is my firm view that the UWPees seldom give concrete sensible information....It is always 'Maypree"....slander.....etc..

So to the educated....sensible bloggers....REMEMBER """ never argue with idiots,
they'll just bring you down to their level and then they'll appear to beat you with experience""

Also, St. Lucians stand up...we need to get nauseated to the point where we get outraged at the enormous amount of personal corruption being conducted by our Ministers of Government!!!

Why arrest a customs office when Ministers get away scotch free????
We need more people to be sickened and morally outraged by the rampant corruption and ineptitude of this band of misfits.

Where were you all when it was happening under the SLP, it didn't start today you know.

Anonymous said...

What was happening under the SLP? Do you ever hear any SLP minister arrested for under invoicing custom duties/ Do you ever hear any SLP sue the government? Do you ever hear any SLP minister evade custom duties for his private property under pretense that it was for his business? Do you ever hear any SLP minister charged in court for evading custom? Uwp came into office under the pretense and promised that they will fix everything that is going wrong in the country. Now the ministers themselves are caught in breaking the law. So PLEASE do not come with your nonsense, " it did not start today".

Please do not try to equate what is happening under this administration with anything that happened under the SLP. In any case, is this the basis of your argument? " Dey do it, so we doing it too" How juvenile! Who in the SLP was a convicted felon, or stole from the country then sue the people, or sold patients' files or violate traffic laws with impunity, or victimise a woman after she had been paralysed by one of their own and the list goes on... If you could name me one person I will beg your forgiveness.
