We have to always keep in mind that tourism is a very fragile industry, one wrong twist and it snaps in half. Now if someone asks me what what was Compton's greatest achievement, my answer would be the day he passed the baton to Allen Chastanet and made him the Minister of Tourism and Aviation. Tourism is embedded in every fibre of the man's being and you could not find someone better qualified than him.
I don't get the point in Chastanet's article. What was so revealing about what the Minister said and what is its relevance to Saint Lucia? If there were revelations in the Minister's speech, Chastanet chose to tell us about the least revealing among them.
To Anonymous # 3: YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS! Upgrade George Charles into an international airport? Ha! You and Chastanet are ready for the Taiwanese built Wellness Centre.

ReplyDeleteThe point is, upgrade George Charles to international and close Hewanorra because most hotels are in the north.
