I'm disappointed that in none of the reports I have seen (and granted I haven't seen TV) the fact that this was one of the few genuine old buildings left in Castries was mentioned. We really don't care that much about our heritage - It must be well over a year that this place was offered by the owner, to be preserved by whomsoever could/would find a spot for it to be moved to. St. Lucia must be really overcrowded now I guess, that no place could be found
Good to hear that Castries was not burned down a third time. We have open fire all over Castries. I hope we do not wait to late to do something about that.
That was the old Cox building that was over 150 years. Slowly we are losing everything of our culture and history.
ReplyDeletethats a priceless hous .i know the ownwers
ReplyDeleteWell it's gone now. Time for Chastanet to buy up the property. Probably turn it into a city hotel or something.
