Any area set aside for public recreation is considered a park.Where as in the broadest senses of the word this is a natural or semi natural state, it can refer to a largely man made structure as well.

First Blogger, I'm assuming you meant 'eyesore'. Yes?

The island needs similar beautification projects everywhere, e.g., throughout Castries, Hewanorra (now the island's major gateway), Vieux Fort, Soufriere, and elsewhere, and beautiful trees planted all along our major roads and highways. Nonetheless, this is a good beginning, and money well-spent.

Island-wide beautification would greatly assist in lifting our citizenry self-pride as well as in upgrading the salability of our entire tourism product.
These couple reasons are more important than many might think!

Be proud all St Lucians and appreciate stop this habit of criticizing and objecting because something was not done by our party in office. Be objective and acknowledge when any party in office regardless has done something good which is beneficial to the country.
This has been a good project and does showcase the area well, hats off to all involved and we all must be proud of it . We must use it appropriately and maintain it, as the writer suggested some regular activities would bring it alive. As for trees and plannts these will grow in time to improve the landscape with the flowers duly cared for it will continue to improve with time.
Pleas do not throw you pizza box in the park there are trash cans for that!
