Well said, it is high time we stop this none sense about fighting for locals and recognise we are better off when there is competition from around the Caribbean
It is time for people in position to speak out against any form of discrimination and be man enough to take tough decisions.

I agree wholeheartedly with you Pelay. If it was possible for calypsonians to make their living only in Saint Lucia, this would be understandable. But so many of our calypsonians, especially Invader make a living from performing outside of Saint Lucia especially in the Caribbean and North America. Are all of the musicians on Invader's CDs from Saint Lucia? Didn't Luther Francois play on Peter Tosh's tours and in some of his most memorable albums? This position will come back to haunt Invader and others Saint Lucian performers---even those who don't support his position. Tanto, tanto!

I agree wholeheartedly with the writer of this article. This story sickened me when I heard about it and I was even more disgusted when that Carnival Committee gave in to their selfish demands. I too said that those who refused to perform should be replaced
