Very good point that when ministers go overseas they do so as tourists or to collect their per diem or shop. Why is it that we can send these people abroad and except for those who really care about St. Lucia the others come back with no new ideas and keep on doing the same selfish self-centered nonsense every day in their ministries.
This also goes for other members of society. Do our journalists not now see that they are part of the problem. In the US now the journalists with their ro ro mentality (tabloid personality destruction) and support for failed liberal American politicians are helping to destroy that country. Our local journalists are no different but think they are simple "informing the people" when in fact they are just destroying instead of building up.
This article is so relevant. As St. Lucians we fail to show any sort of creativity and I am not sure if u can teach creativity but maybe our society does not foster an environment that would contribute to creativity. When I go to the craft markets, schools and places of business it hurts me to observe that nothing has changed. Mediocracy is the order of the day and a little push to improve would probably lead to a full out national protest.
It is not about creativity. In the US they teach children to operate on feelings not reality. A study just out showed that 40% of collage students in their 2nd year are unable to solve problems based on fact but make poor decisions based on how they "feel". This is caused by the destruction of education by liberals wanting to focus on the isms : racism, sexism and any other feel good, victimhood type of education.
St. Lucia spends less than US$1,000 annually on children's education while Americans spend $15,000+ yet our students at a ceertain level are better or as good as the American kids. Why? Because America in its political system, media, educational system has become corrupted by liberal, progressive, socialist ideology and is imploding. The worst is yet to come under Obama. so do not follow their example and do not abandon our Judeo Christian heritage.
WOW! You St Lucian bloggers are so confused. You have no idea what the American system is really about. It's about controlling everyone except the rich!
Blogger #4. That is why African Americans are at the bottom of the pile. They have been cannon fodder for the liberals for years and continue to downgress. Most abortions, most propotionally in jail, least educated. They have regressed from the upward path started in the 50s having become the guineapigs for the white liberal left.
Give us your vote we will treat you like children with our mendicancy system.
