Retailers increase the price and the customer has to pay. They have bills, loans, car and mortgage to pay which they want to do quickly. Where else can we see the shameless greed and rip-off from these islands?
You have it very wrong ! I predicted his path for St. Lucia way back in 1980 just when we got VCR's and Cable TV started showing how Americans lived. St. Lucians saw the way Americans lived and wanted to be just like them. The US is a Market Econony. St. Lucia has become a Market Economy. So deal with it. The only way to change this, is to become a Socialist Economy like back in the OLD Russia days, or just follow CUBA. Which do you prefer?
Practically every country in the world is suffering from the same 'copying-America disease' and is boomed to suffer the consequences of making such a silly and fundamental mistake.

Well said Mr. D'auvergne. I could not have written it better myself.

If anyone wrote they would prefer the Cuban or Russian way, we all know what writer #3 would do - INSULT THEM!
