i too have experienced the bus system in trinidad called maxi-taxi... and also barbados as well with their blue buses... these islands including grenada have bus terminals nothing really extravagant but appropriate enough compared to st lucia with NADA.. we dont have not one once of a bus terminal reflective of modern day terminal .. i am happy that finally SLP wants to build a couple of bus terminals 1-castries , 2nd -vieux fort ..
My question is where in castries will it be built i have heard of the george 5th park AKA -gardens , who knows perhaps where the marketing board is or the old MC queenslane area i cant think of any other possible area.. only if they demolish a section of teh old CDC.. so that is the start to put in systems to monitor, tax and have an efficient policy of payments from travellers who knows we can introduce a system where after certain hours tickets can be used to pay bus drivers .. WE NEED BUS DRIVERS TO FORM COOPERATIONS SO THAT THEY CAN COALESCE TO BUY BIGGER BUSES AND RUN IT LIKE A REAL BUSINESS... I GIVE UP ON ST LUCIA AND THEIR 4TH WORLD BUS SYSTEM ...

Wherever you have everyone doing their own thing, the outcome is going to be unreliable, and choatic sometimes. We need a system with rules and standards of operation.. The public is not exempt from the rules of conduct: respect and curtsey to fellow passengers... In the long run everyone will benefit.

the idea of loud music playing to the point the driver can't even hear when someone says stop is irritating. i vow never to get on a bus when i come to slu again.
i took a bus from vfort to castries and the bus driver has a stupid movie playing on dvd. i think that should have remained at home, i didn't appreciate the movie at all. so much stupidity goes on those bus routes.
