Bands Await Subvention....

Mr. Augier, perhaps the Stakeholder's Committee and others involved in carnival should be raising funds all year round to fund carnival. If 100000 is so little because it has to be shared among all bands, it is time the interested parties start coming up with more creative ideas to keep Carnival alive. It is not the responsibility of government to ensure that bacchanal goes on. Every year, the same story is heard. Seems to me that there is a lack of creativity and interest in carnival on the part of the bands. It seems to me that quite a few bands prefer the lazy man's job of waiting for this pittance from government

Above: Good point. Every year it's the same story, waiting on the government to provide for carnival when the bands have all year to help themselves.
