Im sorry but to say she was consistently superb in all five categories of the competition is a bit much as i attended this pageant and not sure if you watched or just wrote from the results. But this show was a National disaster, but then again a Local usual.
My opinion is that after Carnival the Girls who won the various pageants in the community are the ones to vie for the the National Pageant next year. there they will have enough time and have gotten sufficient coaching in speech etc. Carnival Committee take note.
Did I just read that the standard of the show was upped a few notches. Were they at the same show I was because to me the entire committee should be sacked and some new blood should be brought in to create the proper mood and atmosphere for such a wonderful part of our Annual Carnival.
The band was the wrong band, the performers were wrong, the MCs were out of sync ... I can go on but with how it is I tend to wonder what is the use.
I saw the audition show for this year, and I also saw the queen show for this year and trust me there was little improvement between the two shows. It was like they never examined the auditions to see what corrections were needed etc.
Poor taste in performers, band and MCs oh an a judge messing up a question almost as bad as the girls handled their questions in the interview segment. Ouch!
Congrats Miss Desir!!!! To the previous comments above me; when you go out looking for fault you are blindedby the good. Not one good thing happened on that night? Practice praise and stop criticizing.
First I want to thank Choice for bringing me the show live in Atlanta.
@ 5:33 PM you are right on point it was so disturbing to watch how the stage was decorated the standard of Carnival is not what it used to be.Pringles should be the MC of a Circus I felt bad for Wendy Williamns to stand on this shitty poor dirty stage a woman who was once Miss Universe and use to Carnival Pagents in her homeland that hold such high standards.After Miss Desir won she was left abandon the music was so disgusting instead of a serenade.Oh why waste my breath St.Lucia will never change it's getting from bad to worse.The judges were a bunch of Country Crockers just could not read nor speak plain Lucian englisg wow them Morons should hide their faces,to much to talk about.With all the monies they make at Carnival where is it going to? Someone is playing with the cookie jar. God put a hand Amen.
It all come down to standards. There is little of that in St.Lucia.

It the show was great Live, but the National Cultural Center is a disaster.

You want us to know you are in Atlanta who cares. Well you are the country crocker in the peoples' country. You all believe when you migrate to other lands you all are something better than we who are down here. You all are nothing in another man's country. Doing the odd jobs they do not want to do, like cleaning toilets etc etc.
Miss Atlanta if it was distrubing to watch on T V, why watch!!!!!
If the stage was poor and dirty as you describe, why didn't you go and clean it, insted of bad-talking it. SOme parts of Atlanta is poor and dirty too....you are acting like Atlanta is a castle!!!!! Never forget where you come from..........put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!
