I am an American solder who killed eight people when I dropped a 2000 lb. Ordinance on their home while they slept – four girls ages 3, 5, 7, 9 and a boy 12, plus mother and father, I never saw the people but suspected they were enemy because they flew a flag that was not ours over their yard.

I am back at home and often wonder should I have been more careful in the decision to drop the bomb. Do you think these children will ever get justice? I have left the military and moved on to raise my own family. Will I ever have to answer for my reckless decision?

I read this statement in a Qur-an I brought back from Iraq:
Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? (3)
Yea, verily Yea. We are Able to restore his very fingers! (4)
But man would fain deny what is before him. (5)
He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? (6)
But when sight is confounded (7) And the moon is eclipsed (8)
And sun and moon are united, (9)
On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! (10)
Alas! No refuge! (11)
Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. (12)
On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. (13)
Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, (14)
Although he tender his excuses.(15)

/*****cont./
Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now (20)
And neglect the Hereafter. (21)
That day will faces be resplendent, (22)
Looking toward their Lord; (23)
And that day will other faces be despondent, (24)
Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. (25)
Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat (26)
And it is said: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? (27)
And he knoweth that it is the parting; (28)
And agony is heaped on agony; (29)
Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. (30)
For he neither trusted, nor prayed. (31)
But he denied and flouted. (32)
Then went he to his folk with glee. (33)
Nearer unto thee and nearer, (34)
Again nearer unto thee and nearer (is the doom). (35)
Thinketh man that he is to be left aimless? (36)
Was he not a drop of fluid which gushed forth? (37)
Then he became a clot; then (Allah) shaped and fashioned (38)
And made of him a pair, the male and female. (39)
Is not He (Who doeth so) able to bring the dead to life? (40)

I think I got away with murder - you think?

Optical, Take it easy! before you hit me with your cutlass, LOL

Surah Al-Muddaththir
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O thou enveloped in thy cloak, (1) Arise and warn! (2) Thy Lord magnify, (3) Thy raiment purify, (4) Pollution shun! (5) And show not favour, seeking wordly gain! (6) For the sake of thy Lord, be patient! (7) For when the trumpet shall sound, (8) Surely that day will be a day of anguish, (9) Not of ease, for disbelievers. (10) Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely, (11) And then bestowed upon him ample means, (12) And sons abiding in his presence (13) And made (life) smooth for him. (14) Yet he desireth that I should give more. (15) Nay! For lo! he hath been stubborn to Our revelations. (16) On him I shall impose a fearful doom. (17) For lo! he did consider; then he planned - (18) (Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! (19) Again (self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! - (20) Then looked he, (21) Then frowned he and showed displeasure. (22) Then turned he away in pride (23) And said: This is naught else than magic from of old; (24) This is naught else than speech of mortal man. (25) Him shall I fling unto the burning. (26) - Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - (27) It leaveth naught; it spareth naught (28) It shrivelleth the man. (29) Above it are nineteen. (30) We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals. (31) Nay, by the Moon (32) And the night when it withdraweth (33) And the dawn when it shineth forth, (34) Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) (35) As a warning unto men, (36) Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. (37) Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; (38) Save those who will stand on the right hand. (39) In gardens they will ask one another (40) Concerning the guilty: (41) What hath brought you to this burning? (42) They will answer: We were not of those who prayed (43) Nor did we feed the wretched. (44) We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, (45) And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, (46) Till the Inevitable came unto us. (47) The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. (48) Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, (49) As they were frightened asses (50) Fleeing from a lion! (51) Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). (52) Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. (53) Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. (54) So whosoever will may heed. (55) And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. (56)

The Prophet said, "Whoever purposely throws himself from a mountain/building and kills himself, will repeat the act of jumping in perpetuity in the (Hell) Fire falling down into it and abiding therein perpetually; and whoever drinks poison and kills himself with it, he will be carrying his poison in his hand and drinking it in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally; and whoever kills himself with an iron weapon(Knife, gun, cutlass), will be carrying that weapon in his hand and stabbing his abdomen (shooting himself) with it in perpetuity in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally."
He will beg for death, but death would have been slain after the final judgment, and an announcer would declare: "OH DWELLERS OF PARADISE DEATH IS NO MORE" and their joy would increase immeasurable. He would address the Dwellers of the Fire:"OH DWELLERS OF Jahannam/Hell DEATH IS NO MORE" and their loss would increase immeasurable.

Optical. do you see why I would not accept you satanic advice.

Hast thou not seen that unto Allah payeth adoration whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind, while there are many unto whom the doom is justly due. He whom Allah scorneth, there is none to give him honour. Lo! Allah doeth what He will. (18) These twain (the believers and the disbelievers) are two opponents who contend concerning their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them; boiling fluid will be poured down on their heads, (19) Whereby that which is in their bellies, and their skins too, will be melted; (20) And for them are hooked rods of iron. (21) Whenever, in their anguish, they would go forth from thence they are driven back therein and (it is said unto them): Taste the doom of burning. (22) Lo! Allah will cause those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will be allowed armlets of gold, and pearls, and their raiment therein will be silk. (23) They are guided unto gentle speech; they are guided unto the path of the Glorious One. (24)

----Whoever retains an ounce of gratitude to consider for a minute, the drop of sperm from which he is created, and his own Anatomy or the Botany wherein he finds his nourishment, can never be an atheist. Therefore the god he denies is not God, but must be something else.

God reveals Himself to us every day. Yet, we overlook His manifestations of Himself in our lives over and over again attributing events to luck, coincidence, karma, and the likes… then we open our mouths, and say “There is no God” or ask “How do we know God is real?”

Well I’ve got my own question… How do we know He is not?

He shows Himself to us, yet our minds and thinking are so corrupt and limited that we rather believe it is not Him, but that our good fortune was brought about by some un-orchestrated turn of events... We repeatedly keep on looking for reasons for the things we see and experience not to be God!

When things go well we don’t accredit them to God’s existence and His hand in our lives, rather, we are “just lucky”. Yet, when things go differently to what we would prefer, we are quick to say “See, there is no God” or “How could there be a God if He allowed…” Are there not inconsistencies there? Even the science that we love so much would prove that to obtain unadulterated and reliable results in experimentation, variables (aside from controls/dependents) ought to remain unchanged:

IF GOOD FORTUNE DOES NOT DEPICT HIS EXISTENCE, DON’T USE MISFORTUNE AS TESTIMONY OF THE LACK THEREOF!!

Question:

What if God does exist?

Inasmuch as “great minds” maintain that His actuality cannot be proven; can the contrary?
Wouldn’t it be a much more intellectual choice to live purely and exemplarily with the hope of eternal life, and find out that it was a sham, than to wrestle against something only to find out later that indeed it was truth?

Really, what is there to lose??

Kindness? Goodness? Faithfulness?
Patience? Joy? Self-control?
Integrity? Honesty? Diligence?
Tender-heartedness? Forgiveness? Prosperity?
Reverence? Self-respect? Honour?
Sinlessness? Purity of heart and mind? Peace?
Humility? Soberness? Mercy?
Cheerfulness? Hopefulness? Love?
Hospitability? Blessings? Virtue?
Knowledge? Charity? Equality?

Why do we so adamantly refute the idea of the existence of God?
Is it what “The God” stands against? Do we love so much the

Drunkenness? Anger? Revelling?
Cheating? Fornication? Insolence?
Idolatry? Tiredness? Lying?
Slothfulness? Filthiness? Superfluity?
Naughtiness? Lasciviousness? Haughtiness?
Deceiving? Corruption? Worthlessness?
Unforgiveness? Terrestrial power? Shamefulness?
Mortality? Profanity? Darkness?
Vanity? Murder? Theft?
Uncleanness? Witchcraft? Hatred?
Struggling? Division? Competition?

*smile* I marvel at our great “intelligence” sometimes…

What if…

Did you know that the stories in the bible existed LONG before the actual bible and the time when Jesus was said to walk the earth?? Yes! many stories of Jesus' miracles actually predate the big man himself. Now Christians will say that this is the work of the devil causing you to keep God out of your mind & taking over your life but facts are facts and there is legitimate PROOF of the above. there isn't, however, proof that any SPECIFIC higher power exists. Religion is just faith based and that alone. If you believe it exists if you don't it doesn't. But not because you believe something simply means it exists. I mean look at people who spend their lives looking for big foot. But then if God does exist . . . whose to say it isn't Vishnu or Allah, or goddess lakshmi and not jehovah . . . or that they don't all exist?? Whose to say that Christianity is just a self imposed mental barriar used to decrease the thinking capability/mental capacity of gullible and unsuspecting individuals. I know that this is probably going to be countered by a bible verse or quote which will just solidify my opening statement (the pigeon quote) but The truth is, NOBODY and I mean NOBODY knows whether anything in the bible is true or if there really is truely a (or one) God. There exists good and evil yes because one cannot exist without the other but the stone cold truth is a mystery
