Stan,

This change in law and attitude towards Marijuana will certainly be of interest to you:

In an unprecedented popular vote, Colorado and Washington have approved ballot initiatives to legalize the sale of marijuana under regulations somewhat stricter than those for alcohol.

“These are not just the first two states to do this,” exulted Ethan Nadelmann of the Drug Policy Alliance. “They’re the first two political jurisdictions in the world to do this.”

In Colorado, Amendment 64, which would “regulate marijuana like alcohol,” had 54 percent of the vote with more than 85 percent counted. (It was outpolling President Obama, who carried the state, by almost 50,000 votes.) The measure will let people 21 or older possess up to an ounce or grow six plants, and the state will license growers and retailers.

Pot is used in this country as if it were legal. The spliff is lighted just about anywhere without regard for the nonsmoker. We don't need to make it official. It would be redundant to do so. In the US it is lighted in secrecy and if caught penalties are unleached. In States where it has been made legal through referandums, it 's use is mainly for medecal purposes and even so it is illegal under federal law. We have enough freedom on our island as it is and do not need to follow what others do. Just saying!

I can imagine the number of roaches, flies and pest increments which have been devoured undetected. Thank God we have not have mass fatal infections.
