Mary sounds too opinionated, selfish, defiant and unreasonable. She also appears to be a loner, a very lonely woman and damn miserable!

Very courageous woman in an environment saturated with of ignorance. This society is not ready for this kind of social activism.

Mary Francis, my friend, the defiant one, strong willed. Somebody have to fight for the underdog and that's Mary for you.
It's such a pity some people cannot appreciate the sacrfices others make so they can enjoy freedom. Freedom from mental slavery, freedom from whatever.
