Jason answer the question: why don't you believe in God?
Weren't you a preacher in Herbert Armstrong's church? What did God do to you there - when you were a member receiving schooling and preaching the existence of God?

Seattle's Police Department Releases Humorous Guide on How to Get Stoned, After Initiative to Legalize Pot Passes
November 16, 2012 |

Last week, the Seattle Police Department quietly released the hillarious how-to, Marijwhatnow? A Guide to Legal Marijuana Use In Seattle [3]. Witty and silly, it covers all the bases, from driving stoned to drug tests for jobs and whether police themselves can get high. It begins:

The people have spoken. Voters have passed Initiative 502 and beginning December 6th, it is not a violation of state law for adults over 21 years old to possess up to an ounce of marijuana (or 16 ounces of solid marijuana-infused product, like cookies, or 72 ounces of infused liquid, like oil) for personal use. The initiative establishes a one-year period for the state to develop rules and a licensing system for the marijuana production and sale.

Marijuana has existed in a grey area in Seattle for some time now. Despite a longstanding national prohibition on marijuana, minor marijuana possession has been the lowest enforcement priority for the Seattle Police Department since Seattle voters passed Initiative 75 in 2003. Officers don’t like grey areas in the law. I-502 now gives them more clarity.

Now, here's a sample of their quirky Q&A:

SPD seized a bunch of my marijuana before I-502 passed. Can I have it back?

No.

Will SPD assist federal law enforcement in investigations of marijuana users or marijuana-related businesses, that are allowed under I-502?

No. Officers and detectives will not participate in an investigation of anything that’s not prohibited by state law.

December 6th seems like a really long ways away. What happens if I get caught with marijuana before then?

Hold your breath. Your case will be processed under current state law. However, there is already a city ordinance making marijuana enforcement the lowest law enforcement priority.

According to the guide, residents can legally carry up to an ounce of weed, but cannot yet sell or grow it themselves. Beause the regulations for controlled sale have not yet been established, distribution and production remain illegal. What's more, smoking outdoors is banned and employers can still make hiring decisions based on drug tests for marijuana. There are still some of the grey areas the SPD "does not like"; however, the guide makes it clear the police department is behind the people. Marijwhatnow closes with a clip from Lord of the Rings, in which Gandalf and Bilbo smoke a pipe before Bilbo says "Gandalf, my friend, this will be a night to remember.”

Surah Al-Baqara/The Cow

As for the Disbelievers, Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not it is all one for them; they believe not. (6)

Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom. (7)

And of mankind are some who say: We believe in Allah and the Last Day, when they believe not. (8)

They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not. (9)

In their hearts is a disease, and Allah increaseth their disease. A painful doom is theirs because they lie. (10)

And when it is said unto them: Make not mischief in the earth, they say: We are peacemakers only. (11)

Are not they indeed the mischief-makers ? But they perceive not. (12)

And when it is said unto them: believe as the people believe, they say: Shall we believe as the foolish believe? Beware! They indeed are the foolish? But they know not. (13)

And when they fall in with those who believe, they say: We believe; but when they go apart to their devils they declare: Lo! we are with you; verily we did but mock. (14)

Allah (Himself) doth mock them, leaving them to wander blindly on in their contumacy. (15)

These are they who purchase error at the price of guidance, so their commerce doth not prosper, neither are they guided. (16)

Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindleth fire, and when it sheddeth its light around him

Allah taketh away their light and leaveth them in darkness, where they cannot see, (17)

Deaf, dumb and blind; and they return not. (18)

We can all agree that Almighty God who is Unique; not a man or a woman; in need of nothing; Owner of the Galaxies and all that is above and between them; knower of the visible and invisible; is Just and without blemish/Perfect! Can we agree thus far???

Would it be Just to execute someone for a murder committed by his father? Brother? Sister? Cousin? What about his Great Great Grand Father? Something in which he had no participation whatsoever.

The concept that I was born with a SIN that I had nothing to do with, the so-called Original sin, is another bogus fabrication by the followers of Satan, who are responsible for deceiving multitudes – there is nothing resembling justice there.

So the devil worshipers baptized me right there on Micoud Street under the foot of that statue with the “Mamma bon dieu” woman standing on the “Tete Chien” snake, and gave me one; no, two of his Christian/slave names; so now god forgives me for a sin I did not commit? These Italians/Romans can make you “tede wed” Lucians believe anything.

Just now as I am writing this idea, this question comes to mind: If Jesus is god, why was he baptized? So God was a sinner??? or he was just faking?

“And the Skies opened and a voice said: This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased” - a VOICE??? was that you God? Why do you have to say, “A VOICE” couldn't you just say, “and God Said” All this papishow, “A VOICE”. God “A” voice is indefinite – any voice, Satan, John Compton, King; there is something called the definite article god - You must not be as wise as these perverted celibate priest claim?

Then while writing the above idea this one comes to mind:

So Joseph was “Nomme Mamma Bon Dieu”?

This is some really sick, sick, sick concepts of the Creator of Creation. “Sa sey ba-guy Magee Nois”

And today Jason is named Joseph, but I think he is named after Joseph mentioned here in Qur-an:

Surah Yusuf
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Alif Lam Ra. These are the Symbols (or Verses) of the Perspicuous Book. (1)

We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an in order that ye may learn wisdom. (2)

We do relate unto thee the most beautiful of stories, in that We reveal to thee this (portion of the) Qur'an: before this, thou too wast among those who knew it not. (3)

Behold Joseph said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!" (4)

Said (the father): "My (dear) little son! Relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they concoct a plot against thee: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy! (5)

"Thus will thy Lord choose thee and teach thee the interpretation of stories (and events) and perfect His favour to thee and to the posterity of Jacob― even as He perfected it to thy fathers Abraham and Isaac aforetime! For thy Lord is full of knowledge and wisdom." (6)

Verily in Joseph and his brethren are Signs (or Symbols) for Seekers (after Truth). (7)

Surah Yusuf/Joseph

And when he reached his prime We gave him wisdom and knowledge. Thus We reward the good. (22)

And she, in whose house he was, asked of him an evil act. She bolted the doors and said: Come! He said: I seek refuge in Allah! Lo! he is my lord, who hath treated me honourably. Lo! wrong-doers never prosper. (23)

She verily desired him, and he would have desired her if it had not been that he saw the argument of his Lord. Thus it was, that We might ward off from him evil and lewdness. Lo! he was of Our chosen slaves. (24)

And they raced with one another to the door, and she tore his shirt from behind, and they met her lord and master at the door. She said: What shall be his reward, who wisheth evil to thy folk, save prison or a painful doom? (25)

(Joseph) said: She it was who asked of me an evil act. And a witness of her own folk testified: If his shirt is torn from before, then she speaketh truth and he is of the liars. (26)

And if his shirt is torn from behind, then she hath lied and he is of the truthful. (27)

So when he saw his shirt torn from behind, he said: Lo! this is of the guile of you women. Lo! the guile of you is very great. (28)

O Joseph! Turn away from this, and thou, (O woman), ask forgiveness for thy sin. Lo! thou art of the sinful. (29)

Surah Yusuf/Joseph

And two young men went to prison with him. One of them said: I dreamed that I was pressing wine. The other said: I dreamed that I was carrying upon my head bread whereof the birds were eating. Announce unto us the interpretation, for we see thee of those good (at interpretation). (36)

He said: The food which ye are given (daily) shall not come unto you but I shall tell you the interpretation ere it cometh unto you. This is of that which my Lord hath taught me. Lo! I have forsaken the religion of folk who believe not in Allah and are disbelievers in the Hereafter. (37)

And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. It never was for us to attribute aught as partner to Allah. This is of the bounty of Allah unto us (the seed of Abraham) and unto mankind; but most men give not thanks. (38)

O my fellow-prisoners! Are divers lords better, or Allah the One, Almighty? (39)

Those whom ye worship beside Him are but names which ye have named, ye and your fathers. Allah hath revealed no sanction for them. The decision rests with Allah only, Who hath commanded you that ye worship none save Him. This is the right religion, but most men know not. (40)

(Then Joseph said: I asked for) this, that he (my lord) may know that I betrayed him not in secret, and that surely Allah guideth not the snare of the betrayers. (52)

I do not exculpate myself. Lo! the (human) soul enjoineth unto evil, save that whereon my Lord hath mercy. Lo! my Lord is Forgiving, Merciful. (53)

And the king said: Bring him unto me that I may attach him to my person. And when he had talked with him he said: Lo! thou art to-day in our presence established and trusted. (54)

He said: Set me over the storehouses of the land. Lo! I am a skilled custodian. (55)

Thus gave We power to Joseph in the land. He was the owner of it where he pleased. We reach with Our mercy whom We will. We lose not the reward of the good. (56)

And the reward of the Hereafter is better, for those who believe and ward off (evil). (57)

And Joseph's brethren came and presented themselves before him, and he knew them but they knew him not. (58)

And when they came in before Joseph, he took his parents unto him, and said: Come into Egypt safe, if Allah will! (99)

And he placed his parents on the dais and they fell down before him prostrate, and he said: O my father! This is the interpretation of my dream of old. My Lord hath made it true, and He hath shown me kindness, since He took me out of the prison and hath brought you from the desert after Satan had made strife between me and my brethren. Lo! my Lord is tender unto whom He will. He is the Knower, the Wise. (100)

O my Lord! Thou hast given me (something) of sovereignty and hast taught me (something) of the interpretation of events - Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protecting Friend in the world and the Hereafter. Make me to die submissive (unto Thee), and join me to the righteous. (101)

This is of the tidings of the Unseen which We inspire in thee (Muhammad). Thou wast not present with them when they fixed their plan and they were scheming. (102)

And though thou try much, most men will not believe. (103)

Surah Al-Infitar
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

When the heaven is cleft asunder, (1)

When the planets are dispersed, (2)

When the seas are poured forth, (3)

And the sepulchres are overturned, (4)

A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. (5)

O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, (6)

Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? (7)

Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. (8)

Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. (9)

Lo! there are above you guardians, (10)

Generous and recording, (11)

Who know (all) that ye do. (12)

Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. (13)

And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; (14)

They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, (15)

And will not be absent thence. (16)

Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! (17)

Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! (18)

A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. (19)

Jason,
You have raised some very noteworthy points about errors in the Bible. Apart form errors many narratives call for further explanations for they are just not rational. Even Jesus Christ indicated in the gospel of Matthew that scripture can be expanded upon later--it is not finite.

Let us take the issue of homosexuality for instance. The biblical narration of Sodom and Gomorrah speaks of men who turned into committing sodomy but it does not go much further. Were these men homosexuals by nature or did they suddenly adopted that lifestlye. There is a difference you know. People who are born with deviant sexual tendencies were created by whom?
These people are sometimes neither men nor women--they are caught in between! genes, hormones, everything has gone helter-skelter!!!--biological frenzy, and who is to blame.
It is high time that the scientific and religous community face this fact.
