I would have been more factual if the headline reads:"Escaped with the help of a police officer". It was a lone officer, Clarke, a very greedy sob. Obviously he was serving himself and his criminal friends, not our country! Thus the Voice newspaper must not give the readers a contrary impression.
The end is near, and what's wrong will be made right. What's in the dark will be broutht to light and even what's dead will be brought to life. We are in the beginning of this transformation.
Can we not also think this jamaican criminal is falsely accusing officer Clarke? The criminal mind can think to do and say anything to clear himself out of a situation and implicate others.
smh at St. Lucians, so quick to judge, it was because of the carelessness of those before him that this man escaped and every man is innocent until proven guilty, the Jamaican was held in custody for over 72 hours without even being charged, the police just wanna feed us this crap so they can look good!
I recommend that we fry this sell out cop to set an example for the rest. As for those Jamaicans they commit crimes everywhere they go. A Jamaican woman was just caught with over twenty cans of ackee the contents of which was compressed ganga. The wierd thing is the cans were factory sealed. Customs take note.
Sorry to say, but it is a shame to have to be affiliated with Jamaicans as Caribbean folks.
The full majority of them are crooks and liars. We see this everywhere they go. London, Canada, USA, the Caribbean, etc. etc. etc.
Shame on Jamaicans.
Vernon Francois had better be careful that he is not putting the cart before the horse. Interesting, that he has not been able to weed the Police Force of the real vermins, Superintendent etc.
A blogger describes Clarke as "a very bright/sharp fellow". If he knows Clarke he can answer the question: why was Clarke so stupid to do what he was accused of doing? I don't think a bright officer would....!!!
Blogger right above you answered your own question, NOTE:- "the officer was accused. It is "alleged that he did what he was accused of doing.
Be careful blogger he has not been found to be guilty.
And even so, many an innocent man has been hanged at the gallows.
You wpuld be amazed to know how some Police Officers can plant these on an individual. They would lie without batting an eye-lid, and with their eyes wide open.
Life in St. Lucia is not as simple as it looks. There is a whole lot of wickedness.
Blogger above when you are "accused" it mean that you are also "alleged" to have done whatever. The words are synonymous. Guilt was not implied and no gallows are intended yet, if found gulity. Incidentally this offence, if commited, does not call for the gallows. Let us try to understand the queen's english a little better. No offence is herein intended. Ok, my friend?

Correction : "It"....
Officer Clarke must have been observing what others senior to him does. Whilst many get away with much, he did not.
Wonder whether Officer Clarke was working for some other more high ranking senior officer. I hope he tells the truth if that is the case.
Often these new recruits are encouraged to do wrong from what they observe other senior ones do.
It would be interesting to know as a matter of fact whether PC Clarke was/is the only greedy SOB in the Force.
He obviously had many enemies in that Police Force. Why? I am well aware that he is a very bright/sharp fellow.
Whe you have friends in the Force, they cover your 'behind". You don't ever get caught, not for a long. long. time.
LOL.
Never get caught, you said. For years Calabash transact his business to an fro, collecting waters from the river. Alas, ones day it fell and broke...
Dirty, corrupt officers - the lot of them, but a handful.

Hopefully a public inquiry, followed by a clean sweep (Well we can hope).

That Jamaican referred to above was caught in Antigua.
