Minibus Drivers Opt Out Of Business Deal With Umbrella Body

A perfect example of why we are where we are. Greed has caused much distrust among our people. Ignorance has caused blindness to opportunities. The split at the TUF was another example. I don't blame bus operators for the way they have responded to this business proposal given their experience with a previous venture under the stewardship of Guy Joseph. Added to that is a lack of information and transparency from the executive of National Council. Who is/are the director(s)of this company. I believe bus operators will miss out a good opportunity and some smart or bright boys or girls are going to benefit from this. the business is already registered, as we have seen the shares won't be difficult to sell

Perfect opportunity for bus operators but ignorance is a HELL OF A THING. "Give me my money" some cry only to do what? Drink, party, etc. In a matter of days, what they think is a lot of money, come to an end. Immediate gratification . . . not realizing long term gratification is 100% more beneficial.

Greed, dishonesty and selfishness are at the heart of some members of the leadership of TUF and the minibus association. In general Saint Lucians characteristically have problems agreeing on almost anything. But you would have thought that a little conventional schooling, a high school education, would have led them to think right. No where Charlie...!

The elephant in the room is that we have a public transport system operated by private bus owners. Does no one see the obvious problem in this dichotomy? While taxpayers are being forced to bare the burdens of repeated fare increases, we're also forced to subsidize the sector. How dumb is that?!

why the gouvernment gives the bus drivers money dats a waste of money well in that case the gouvernment must provide their own local mini buses and employe bus drivers to driye them and get pay for being a mini bus driver for the gouvernment

If the rebate was meant for the drivers then why not give it to them? Nobody asked anybody to save up money for them in any account so give the guys what is due to them. A deals is a deal and should be honored. Let the drivers get their share of the rebate money and end the problem. straight up!
