Lowering the heat on CARICOM travel and trade

Yes. We cannot legislate morality. Yet, we can hardly succeed in keeping up with enacting legislation against immoral and illegal behaviour and far less enforcing them.

Therefore, CCJ has just opened to doors of other countries to the riff-raff from CARICOM giving free and unfettered entry and exit. Quality of life is going to further go downhill.

Corrupt security forces and those less tainted or under-capacitated units will further wilt under the pressure of demands far beyond their abilities to deal with.

Saint Lucia today is reeling from the impacts of those regional miscreants, vermin and maggots influencing those both in and out of elected office. We have borbolism as an integral and acceptable cultural norm.

What are the societal net benefits? What are the offsets? What are the social costs? Misery loves company.

They should go to war to settle this.
