RUSSIANS ARE COMING

15 comments:

  1. St. Lucia,s government past and present have a history of just signing contracts with foreign business men or well known scam artists without conducting a Risk Assessments lets hope this so-called Russian deal don't end up in law suits costing the tax payers thousands of dollars.

  2. A yachting event is ok. As long as half the island doesnt get sold. Look at Cyprus - little russia now.

  5. Kenny will be right at home with his Russian friends. If Fidel cannot make it, is Raol coming over for a drink?
Now here's a chance for Kenny to pay off all the debt Lucia is owing. Sell the damn Island to the Russians and let's join the Russian federation and nationalize Gease Oil Company, and let the Russies run the damn thing.
    You have nothing to loose.

  9. As said above yachting event is good for the island as long as it doesn't turn into little Russia in the sun! or it definetly would be the case of abandone ship! while the fat cats get fatter!

  10. Now the U.S.and NATO are imposing sanctions on Russia and top business men associated with president Putin for invading Ukraine, have the ministry of tourism thought of the damage that can cause to the number of visitors coming from north America and Europe? Just a thought!!!. I also want to highlight the fact that our relationship with the U.S.is at its worst as it stands now, so I think alot should be taken into consideration before we get involved in this Russian deal. Just a concern!!!

  11. Our unsophisticated country-boukey governments past and present lack the capacity and ability to co-sign self-protecting business deals. We have Frenwell, Black Bay and Grynberg as painful reminders of government stupidity and blatant ignorance. Since they have already been re-endorsed by local party groups and voted for through the ballot box, Saint Lucians must brace themselves for yet another a potential round of jackass governance.

  12. Hope that their visit does not encourage the "ladies of the night" to head to St Lucia like what has happened in many other yachting cities etc! Not good!

  13. @ 10:29 AM.

"Ladies of the night" let them come.
Bring the "Pussy riots" with them.
Tall long legs, blue eye blonds, make a change from the usual. I don't discriminate, I believe in variety. When you talking money, who cares, be it U.S., Russian, U.K. Pounds, or Whatever; St.Lucia is not in a position to choose.
If you're broke, you're broke, so bring on the Russians, who cares.

  15. This is the Russia that's currently intent on grabbing land like an old-fashioned imperialist colonial power is it? You know- the one that said the Malvinas/Falklands should not be British even though the population wants to be British!
