The Gros Islet Parish Affair

15 comments:

  1. This new Pope is in a very aggressive mood. He received and addressed both the sinners and their victims just about three weeks ago. The archbishop did what he had to do. Thusly, he saved his job.

  2. I want to know the facts of the case. Was there penal penetration or just a statement of sexual overtones? I am damn lost. The archbishop statements is so dubious.Lookng from the outside i see no wrong yet.Is that a plot against father Quinlan? I like him as my parish priest but if he is guilty of anything let us know what the hell it is.I am staying from church until that matter is clarify. To father Quinlan i say be strong and keep the faith, satan is a liar.

  3. The Judeo Christian ethos which created the greatest civilization and economies on earth have been under attack from the 1960s from the modern liberalism with one of the main tactics being the undermining of the Catholic Church.

Part of the successful liberal methodology has been the unnatural homosexual agenda with the final push for gay marriage. By undermining marriage and the family the liberals gain power as society collapses. As they get people to accept homosexuality as 'normal' they undermine Natural Law and the positive teachings of the Church.
The infiltration of the Catholic Church by homosexuals and paedophiles from the 1960s and 70s was all part of the liberals sexual freeness that the Church had warned against.
The issue in the Gros Islet parish is just the symptom of a bigger battle. Those so called Lucians Catholics who pick and choose what laws they want to obey based on how they 'feel' and who they 'like' are part of the reason for the success of liberalism and the creation of the liberal elite gaining power and wealth.
They are helping in the abandoning of the Christian ethos which was only teneous in St Lucia at best.
Another newspaper mentioned a cabal of about 4 practicing homosexual priests helping in the destruction of our society.
St Lucians cannot see the forest for the trees as we continue the downward slide politically, economically, socially and spiritually.

  4. I do not know the facts; but based on this article which i read; I believe that the Bishop did not as a so-called Christian handle the matter properly; as a christian should.

I strongly believe that he must be relieved of his post here in St. Lucia.

I believe too; that if Father Quinlan is innocent; then he should be back at the Church.

The matter of a feud between the Archbishop and Father Quinlan; relating to the expenditure of the Gros-Islet church funds must be investigated so the facts be known to the same public; that the Archbishop addressed. Thank you.

  5. The sexually-related issues are NOT parochial as the writer thinks. It has affected the standing of the Church and it hierarchy GLOBALLY.

We still stubbornly and idiotically refuse to ACT LOCALLY AND THINK GLOBALLY.

That is why we can ONLY think about ELECTING COUNTRY BOOKIES WHO CAN ONLY FIX POT HOLES AND PUT UP ELECTRIC LAMP POSTS, give us a temporary job with S.T.E.P. AND NOT MUCH ELSE!

    Saint Lucia is idiot country!

  8. The Archbishop's actions have exposed the entire Roman Catholic population to utter ridicule.

Now the most important area which he needs to expose within his church; is the very active practice of WITCHCRAFT and VOODOO; among both the young, not too young and old.

    Over to you Mr. Archbishop.

  9. The less said about this in public by parties on all sides, the better. The situation has gone far beyond the "damage control" stage. It is in one word irretrievable.

  10. Met a girl called Lola
And I took her back to my place
    Feelin' guilty, feelin' scared
    Hidden cameras everywhere
Stop! Hold on, stay in control

Girl, I want you here with me
But I'm really not as cool as I'd like to be
'Cause there's a red, under my bed
And there's a little yellow man in my head

And there's a true blue inside of me
That keeps stoppin' me, touchin' ya
    Watchin' ya, lovin' ya

    Paranoia, the destroyer
    Paranoia, the destroyer

Well I fell asleep, then I woke feelin' kinda queer
Lola looked at me and said, "Ooh, you look so weird"
She said, "Man, there's really something wrong with you
    One day you're gonna' self-destruct"

    You're up, you're down
    I can't work you out
You get a good thing goin'
    Then you blow yourself out

    Silly boy, you self-destroyer
    Silly boy, you self-destroyer
Silly boy, you got so much to live for
So much to aim for, so much to try for
You blowing it all with paranoia
    You're so insecure, you self-destroyer

And it goes like this, here it goes
    Paranoia, the destroyer
    Here it goes again
    Paranoia, the destroyer

Doctor, doctor, help me please, I know you'll understand
    There's a time device inside of me, I'm a self-destructin' man
There's a red, under my bed
And there's a little green man in my head

And he said, "You're not goin' crazy
    You're just a bit sad
'Cause there's a man in ya
Knawin' ya, tearin' ya into two"

    Silly boy, you self-destroyer
    Paranoia, the destroyer
    Self-destroyer, wreck your health
    Destroy your friends, destroy yourself
    The time device of self-destruction
Light the fuse and start eruption, yeah

Yeah, it goes like this, here it goes
    Paranoia, the destroyer
    Here's to paranoia
    Paranoia, the destroyer
    Hey hey, here it goes
    Paranoia, the destroyer
    And it goes like this
    Paranoia, the destroyer
    And it goes like this

  12. So where this petition? My whole family is lined up to sign. This was handled so badly. The AB needs a course in Media Management.

  13. Here are some sobering thoughts:
Recall what the Mother Superior Nun inthe movie "Papillon" said to Steve McQueen "Papillon",
; after paying a nun to join her entourage and goes with her to a convent. Admitting he is an escapee but stressing that he is not a murderer, Papillon asks the Mother Superior for refuge (after she accepts all his bounty of precious gems), but she turns him over to the authorities. As they arrest him she assets in dogmatic indifference " If you are guilty then you will have paid you debt to society but if you are innocent then God will most certainly take care of you".

The pressure by North Am to prosecute clergy is tremendous. Pope Francis represents the reformation towards 0 tolerance.

The guilt or innocence of Fr Quinlan-sadly-is political fodder -
His heroic departure is positive testament for the vanguardrd of the Church.

  14. Heroic? Check the dictionary again.

Oh! I keep forgetting we now have our own dictionary. The word must mean something quite different when translated into kweyol.

  15. As one who has known Fr. Quinlan since he was a seminarian and as one who worked very closely with Archbishop Rivas for many years, I can say two things that may sound contradictory but are not: Fr. Quinlan is a good and faithful priest and Archbishop Rivas is a very fair, prayerful, holy, man and priest. I do know that Archbishop is slow to judge and slow to act because he is a very fair and prayerful man. Archbishop Rivas is not vindictive or judgemental man and he tries to be a father to his priests and I know that he would try not to bring unnecessary pain to his priests or his people. I am sure that this is just as painful for him to have to make this decision. As well, I do feel deeply sorry for Fr. Stephen as it will be very difficult for him to live this down. This is his country and his people will never forgive him, except for those who know him well. Many others will treat him as a condemned man even if he is not, so I can certainly empathize with the family. As Catholics, we know that God does not sleep, He sees all and knows all. We have to trust that all will be well with Fr. Stephen. Let us pray that the truth will be revealed and justice will reign. Let us not place blame on the Archbishop but pray that he too will be further enlightened and Fr. Stephen will be able to come through this an even better priest. Fr. Stephen would want you to keep praying for him and all who are involved. Put him in The hands of God, He is surely safe there. May God bless and keep both Fr. Stephen and Archbishop Rivas with wisdom.
