I’m surprise by the use of the term “niggerities” by this writer, especially from one who is of East Indian background. I deplore the use of the word and finds it ignorant and offensive. It’s intended to humiliate the local people of Anse la Raye for expressing their concerns about their environment. I would like to remind the writer that in every "tropical culture" there is a rest period after lunch from the toils of the morning. The Mexicans call it a Siesta - a rest or nap after the midday meal.
