King has no concience. To tell St Lucians now that they will have to pay more for basic food items, introducing VAT on the already struggling population, a CHA showcase put on by Chastenet who cannot identify with poor people good grief, isn't that pathetic? King is asking and pleading with St Lucians to make the necessary sacrifices to cushion the economic hard ship what about starting from the top? what about he and his ministers taking pay cuts, reducing the travel expense of his ministers and himself on the public purse and plowing that money back into the economy. That would go a long way in eleviating the plight of the "malayway"

Therold Prudent licked UWP ass hoping to get a high-paid job in New York, but since he didn't get the job he is now dropping his pants and sleeping with the SLP. The SLP may be a bunch of idiots, but they are smarter than Therold Prudent and they will never give him a job.

First of all if your intention is to come to Labour, let me say a big welcome! If your thing is to form your own party then good for you too.

The last I know of my friend Mr. Prudent is that he has spent 20 something years oversees being self suffient and not ever needing government handout for his economic existense.

So what he wanted to serve his country? Isn't this what all young St Lucians should aspire too? The fact that the UWP decided to overlooked his talent and skills becuase of their own petty insecurities is their loss.

I just hope he does not allow this to deter him and will press on to higher dimensions. The country needs men and women like him who are able to speak truth to power, and who have always had the interest of their country at heart. Keep your head up high.
Deliverance is not too far away.

Your dreams of a St Lucia that is inclusive and larger than hacks is almost at hand.

why is it that whenever someone makes a statement, we as saint lucians rather go after the messenger and not the message? What's the point? And we'll wonder why our country is so divided - everything is a personal attack. We need to go beyond the personal attacks and seek out the issues, if they do exist.

In this case, I believe there is a real issue. Could you see members of Congress accepting large cheques from - say a Middle East Power, to carry out works in their congressional districts? These things don't happen in a real democratic country and for good reason. Why do you think there are so many checks over EU funds? Why do you think development grants are given to governments or even community foundations but not into the directly into the hands of the political directorate. This is utterly and completely unethical and one day these men will have only shame to show for this callous style of governance.

I agree with the previous poster that Therold Prudent was out of line to attack our Prime Minister in that manner.

But I disagree that private money given by any donor has to go into the government consolidated fund before it can be spent. However, it would have been better for the Taiwanese to have set up a trust fund against which members of parliament could draw funds for projects and that would have kept the money visible.

What made Therold Prudent out of line to go after the Prime Minister?

Who should he have gone after, can anone explain?

In my own district I see unethical things going on. I know of one such MP who received money from the Tie people. He appointed his best freind to be in charge of the project, while his brother is also making mucho dollars on those projects. They even started a partnership together.

Read it again:

Which would you rather have? the Taiwanese give money to members of parliament for projects, OR, the Taiwanese don't give money to members of parliament for projects?
