I man know La Borde from time he and I were youths …We were not close friends but I used to see him on the streets of Castries when I used to hang out by the court house right next to the City Council Building … He was cool man … and very friendly .. When I read the news on Facebook I got chills … it’s like I heard loud drumming echoing in the distance then slowly fading away ... His passing has brough saddness to many St Lucians at home and in the diaspora … to his family I send my sympathies.

"What's the analysis of the paralysis" ... his favourite greeting to his friends (mostly to his female friends). I will miss that greeting, his cool presence, his taunts (not the harassing kind), his "what you say" greeting, and all those "cool" parameters that was La Borde

This is a troublesome and totally senseless crime to be committed on a peace loving man.

This is a sad event for all St Lucians to endure.

Is King new formula working? Is the new Sherif in town doing the job King wants?
Common Guy Mayers do something. AS King would say "where is the evidence"
The murder rate is the evidence.

Anonymouse.
Even at a time like this when we mourn the senseless death of a good man, you will choose to stink up the place by opening your mouth with all your political crap.
Yes the evidence is there. It is you, and all people like you who are intent on destroying the peacefulness of our once beautiful island. Why don't you all get together and try to swim to Jamaica. Do us all at least this favor......Pleeeaaaasssee!

Enough is enough. We have to start looking out for each other. Get educated about the neighborhood watch system and see how best it can fit in our society. It works in larger countries so it can work here if we do it correctly. Up until now, the Police has not even said whether there was forced entry, yet they do not want to rule out burglary? Hey, let he public know exactly what we are up against. That kind of tight-lipped system by the cops have to ease up a bit. Was it someone he probably knew, or was his house broken into? If he was found sitting on a chair then something is amiss. Somebody said to bring back the death penalty....I say, no! Bring back the Cat o'nine for these animals who seem to have no conscience. RIP Athanasius, you no longer have any worries. It is now for your killer(s) to look over their shoulders. My sincere condoloences to the LABORDE family.
