Vaughn Lewis Wife better behave herself. YOu see how Kenny appointed a foreigner to sack St Lucians of jobs in their own land? SLP is not right. It is unfair. I agree with King and I hope the other political parties in the country are going to be on watchful eye for Kenny.
Who ever told you that Kenny and Tony intended to be fair? What you are going to see is jobs for every person labelled SLP.
Times have changed people. It seems the CCC was just another entity used to "give jobs". If you really deserved the job you had there at the CCC then show your talent and get hired elsewhere....or start your own show. Stop feeling sorry for yourself...didn't you see the bullet coming? I agree with the CC. it's time to put a stop to all that blatant corruption of people getting overpaid for doing nothing and getting away with it only because they are party hacks. They are are many unemployed people who have loans too.

This is this heartening to fire people because you don;t like Richard or UWP. These people have the right to be able to work in their country and feed themselves. The same way that Ma Vaughn can come to St Lucia and find employment, those born there have that right too.
I notice we are missing the issue at hand. Should centeral government continue to bankroll the CCC for their shabby services or at lease breakeven on their opperations?
Well, all the SlP is doing is removing one gruop only to replace them with their own supporters later. Eitehr way they siutation is messed up.
I'm not really sure what work has to be done under some of these contracts, but to me it seems like some of these people were being paid a lot of money! I would not have guessed they made so much money, and the place looks a mess! These are hard times though and I hate to see people losing their jobs, but based on the info in this article, it seems like some things needed to be changed.

As some said previously, and I repeat..."lady, clean up the mess", and sanitize the place. Do have in hand a power washer, lots of bleach and a steel brush, for good measure...we need the stench of Richard Frederick to be removed once and for all.

This is sad and disgusting. A team of moonlighters, hardcore SLP supporters/Councillors who were selected to run the affairs of the city of Castries, are victimizing so many citizens in one go. I doubt they have on iota of idea of how to run a municipality. By the way why was Emma representing us at the Saskachewan meeting on local government and not the mayor or one of the Councillor from the CCC?
There is no doubt that the city and other areas must be kept clean. I think that the situation could have been handled a lot better. There were irregularities yes I agree but it is not the workers who wrote the contracts. Why not redo the contracts and maximize the use of these persons to clean up. There are several community sporting fields in poor condition why not re-assign those persons to take care of these fields. Give the youth somewhere to play and be productive. We too quick to lay blame and make others look bad. Take a step forward and is 2 steps backward.
We don't know for sure if there were any irregularities in the contracts. The councillors said so wothout showing evidence to the effect. I can tell you the likes of John Husbands..... can easily FIND irregularites where there is none. Their sole motive is to starve and disgrave the imagine or perceived political enemy. We can understand why there's so much hatred in sweet Saint Lucia. The Councellors are now contributing to the hatred!
A damn disgrace for the new CCC!

Kenny knows he cannot send Dalson, or any one from the CCC for that matter.
Provincial matters in Canada is equivalent - to matters on par with the (State) meaning Government of Saint Lucia for your information.
Provincial matters handle billions of dollars, large cities like Toronto and millions of people - many times over the entire Caribbean.
This is not a quasi gather of local government or Councillors - meeting or conferencing on non issues.
I'am pretty sure she represented St.Lucia well. I await the report in the interest of accountability and transparency.

Never heard, in my entire life, a receptionist or a phone answerer being paid SO MUCH MONEY...I actually have asked others (since I am away), have they ever heard of a reception being paid that kind of $ and the answer is a resounding NO. What qualifies her for that pay?
If that was not a quid pro quo thing, pray, what is?
I'm not sure they mentioned how much the receptionist was making, but one of the contractors was making over $11,000 a fortnight! I'm not sure exactly what his work involved, but that sounds like an exorbitant sum to me. These are just the people we know about in the CCC, imagine the others we know nothing about. No wonder there's no money to do anything worthwhile.

Just a lot of hot air on politics!! From reading the article and the comments, unfortunately, I am unable to form an honest and constructive opinion.
In short - there is no story here. At least, not for me.

I respect your opinion, above, but I have a different view point. SLP has to put people in place to carry out their mandate and not sabotage it; likewise UWP...so I tend to agree that those UWP's in key positions has to be removed to make way for SLP's who has or share the same objective as outlined in their manifesto. And, of course, this goes to the UWP too.

Frederick has no education. He was an ordinary police officer who was very crooked at that time, then he took some courses, and went to study law. That dosen't make him any educated person. He just made a flux.
Why isnt this wrinkled face dinosaur on retirement? Are you telling me that there are no young red soldiers to take up this post? I am disappointed with my government and am afraid that they may suffer the same fate as they did in 2006. Maybe worst. I am done with that.
