Mr. Anthony has always enjoyed giving Saint Lucia's patrimoney away. LPM you are wasting your time if you think he is ever going to stop.

Lucian's need to wake-up or else will be waking up in a foreign land.

Equity = shares.

Before the hotels start taking the government before the courts, the CCJ and the WTO, would it not be nice to have the legal framework in place first?

Legitimate governments have the right to levy taxes. But do governments have the right to force taxes payable, which are rightly liabilities into equity, or convert them into assets for another party or legal entity?

Government has a legal right to collect and by all means necessary.

You have to remember -like it or not - government is a legal body that citizens and business comply to --- one must comply to the IRS or revenue Canada to pay, there are no if's and but's - simply when will you pay or turn over what the state entrusted you to collect and pay back.

Hotel tax is collect on-top of all expenses a guest incur at a hotel.

So when this is not payed back to the State -the government, what is this called?

VAT is next on the list. Should my small business fail to sent the VAT that i collect from the customers and tell the government that I cannot pay?

Ok! I will need concession on top of that TO.

Only in St.Lucia!!!!!!!!!

---------------

Have you every had to deal with the IRS.... for taxes not paid from your own sweat and tears.

Much less for a tax collect for the state.

I cannot tell the IRS I cannot pay...I simply have to pay up or spend some time in a 40 star hotel.

PICK YOUR CHOICE

Same crap again! You are taking a system that is established in the US I suppose and think that you can just wish that it can happen here. Boy, pay your taxes lest the Uncle put you in an orange jumpsuit. But leave us alone. You eh no squat about what you talking about there. You know?

Anonymous said...

Boy O boy, no wonder only those who feel like pay taxes in SLU.

No wonder every year there is a budget short fall and an OUT STRETCH HAND(S) not knowing the conditions for receiving the help.

No wonder there is a large underground economy that operates in plan view of inland revenue and powerless to stop or collect on.

The list is long.

Take a break and refresh you braincells.

ONLY IN SLU.

What load of crap am I reading here! Personal income tax and collection can never be the same as corporate or business income tax levied on profits.

If the small business owner is not incorporated, then his business is not taxed on profit level, but on the income made or banked as taxed at the personal level as personal income tax.

Are you confused about where you are actually paying taxes? You may not even be paying any kind of property tax in St. Lucia if you live abroad.

Anonymous said...

The person who wrote that LPM crap is so confused! What? What does 'inherit equity' mean and when?

Anonymous said...

You may not agree with what LPM have stated but they have the right to state anything they wish.

Boy, if that statement by LPM does not make sense then what does? I am sure if that statement was signed by KDA, some of the critics of the article would call it "bree-lant." In effect, business people who should have been in jail for robbing the treasury are being rewarded. No Prime Minister should have the power and authority to interfere in these processes.

++++++++++

Just the kind of asinine statement that dumb ass and country bookey guy would make.

What a about their statement does not make sense. I tired of telling you to stop calling St Lucians country bookey. This thing no longer exist in our country. It goes to show how much you don't know about your own country. Why don't you take a plane ride and come visit.

Anonymous said...

I believe the writer means that a country bookey is a type of thinking that is either backward or that the person was not too good in school. Something is missing. Anyway, because people can move from north to south and sideways more easily does not mean that they have stopped thinking like moumous.

Anonymous said...

No, by the writer using the terms country bookie in this day and age, means this writer is far removed for the St Lucian reality.

Like the writer before said, it's time for him to take a trip to the island.

LOL

Not even Allan Bousquet who grew up in an era when the so called educated use to insult Saint Lucia’s poor with this phrase was ever referred to one.

This person is still living in the 50’s and 60’s.

There is more that unites our country than divides it. And being called a countrybookey by some so called educated idiot is not one of them.

Anonymous said...

There will always be country boukies. We had one boasting of how he would take IMf money and put it into an account and give that back to the IMF later.

If that country boukie had been to a proper school he would not go public talking this sh@#$%! He is one of them that gave the country the low IQ rating. What a jackass!

Anonymous said...

Whoever wrote that crap for LPM?

Anonymous said...

Eleanor Davis who cares where you are based. You all people go to other persons country doing all sorts of odd jobs for the white man, and you all think you all are in it talking endless shate on the blog. You are just a parrot repeating what others say. Keeping cleaning schools, hospitals etc etc for the white man.

Anonymous said...

Eleanor you are on spot!!! Never midn the haters.

LPM + O.N.E. = 2

Anonymous said...

You can scream your head off and write trash until you get blue in the face but it look the fellas are doing a good job to keep their party afloat.

More power to the people in LPM.

Anonymous said...

Say it again loser.

Anonymous said...

LPM + ONE = Two

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

LPM arvek ONE kar fair day! Day met couyon. Zort kar fair blagg.

Why is this a jackass press statement? The title wants the government 'to safeguard potential losses now and in the future'.

Read this again! 'To safeguard potential losses'.

Alright, the jackass that wrote this wants us to 'protect' the potential losses.

The jackass that wrote this also wants to protect those losses, 'now and in future'. Woeye! 'Now and in the future'.

I had to LMAO when I read that. These people are complete idiots.

Kenny must stop toying with the country. The biggest jackass is Kenny for giving everything away to foreigners.

Anonymous said...

Kenny's wickedness and largesse to foreigners logically deserve the publication of absolute nonsense?

Anonymous said...

Anthony must stop running around the place like he owns the whole country. I understand the Bernards have some stake in the island but Anthony must first secure what belongs to him before giving away what does not belong to him.

Anonymous said...

Dis is clear like daylight. If the Burr Nerds cyan get back what is theirs, then give it away. Revenge is sweet said the Lord. Yeah man! Revenge is yours said the Lord.

It is not only that. The entire thing looks like someone is repeating something that he or she does not know much about. Why write so much nonsense! Just to get some attention in the press?

Anonymous said...

Somebody help that lousy writer who wrote that title on to some good teacher to teach that person how to write English.

Not being an LPM supporter is good for now, because that can change should the SLP continue to be an undemocratic left wing liberal talk shop.

But first@ Anonymous said... You need to get an education, understand the “Context” of the PR and be of value to your country.

Likewise.. the PR is grammatically correct. The message is direct. But your twisted understanding and lack of knowledge is caged. More so, you need to move on and help the SLP government get this country out of this dogmess.

Only last week a citizen of St.Lucia dies on the streets, simply because an emergency vehicle was not available to respond to a distress call...imagine that in 2012, and should this happen to a visitor or a foreign nation in St.Lucia; lord have mercy on us.
