Guy Joseph and Stephenson King intends to give no clarity or explanation on the Airport reconstruction and road project. The stench can be detected miles away. Lucians, that's the government you voted for and that's the ills you deserve. There goes the saying that government is the exact symbol of its People with their wisdom and unwisdom.
There can be no cost overrun, if no cost is announced.
What do you mean by taking St Lucians to task for voting for the UWP???????
Are you blind enough to believe that after Rochamel and cost over run they did not have to vote SLP out????
SLP should be the ones receiving for public flogging for making St Lucians lose faith in them. It should not be the other way around.

St Lucia too chock en block. A few years ago when Vigie airport was closed for rehabilition it was SLASPA, dredging the harbor was SLASPA, Point Seraphin is SLASPA, the minister giving trouble at the airport is SLASPA. Can somebody tell me why the rehabilitation of Hewanorra is the Government and not SLASPA. As far as I could remember SLASPA was the organization in charge or owning the ports. People cost over run is not new to St Lucia in the building of roads, this happens all over the world, because the elements can always play a big part in the construction etc,etc. I can remember, when the SLP took over power the allocated money for the millieum highway(spelling) was already finished and they had to find more funds to complete the highway. The uwp began to make us believe that cost over run was an SLP invented thing and they won the election on that amount other things. Now they are building roads without making the cost known to the St Lucia people who are paying them, so in that way people will not know if there is cost over runs.

Ahem! No one has mentioned about how the SLP hired an Arab construction company to do the Castries 4 way highway (was it Arab or British? Anyway, it WAS A FOREIGN COMPANY!!!).
So what if the government &/or SLASPA hires a "capable" foreign company to assist in upgrading the Hewanorra airport (is it the terminal? or the tarmac? or both?).
At least, SOMETHING is being done!! Stop complaining and pointing fingers people - take a look at the bright side ...!!!

People please let us not stray away from the point, the point is not about a foreign company, because foreign companies is working and always been working in St Lucia. The point is, the government do not just choose a companies to do work in the country they have to go through a bidding process. SLP said they did their investigations and found out that the company called Asphalt and mining is not a know company with any experience to build roads and to take on a project of $400+ million, which is about one third of our budget. There is also word going out that the minister is part of that company, because he is driving the company cars. If that is true, this is big time corruption. That is the issue, and not about foreign company.

Can you read, i anly ask you for the meaning of "PERFERCETLY" because i have never seen that word. You did not have to type so much because everybody has access to the information you typed.
Well it might be simple to hire NACO Airport Consultants from the Netherlands. They have been consultants for numerous small and mayor airports around the world.
I will reiterate my point.
THIS GOVERNMENT IS THE ONLY ONE WHO OPERATES WITHOUT ACCOUNTABILITY.
In other words: THIS GOVERNMENT REFUSES TO GIVE DETAILS ON PROJECTS PROPOSED FOR FEAR OF ITS DEPRAVED (CORRUPT) NATURE.
As religious and honest Guy Joseph says he is, why don't he present full details of the project to the people of St. Lucia. What is there to fear, but fear itself.

I am stunned as a UWP to understanding how, on what premise, precept, guidelines, qualification, advise, , ETC is Asphalt and Mining out- classing the 3rd largest construction company in Canada (who owns a large hotel property in St.Lucia ) on every aspect of this project.
This construction company in Canada is world renowned, St.Lucia is no execution, with vast experience in airport development, financing you name it, yet after 2 attempts to reopen and reconfigure this development project Asphalt and Mining has an enormous advantage.
Something is funny here----we’re no fools…ooooH not to mention the financing would be coming for up north without burdening the nation dept…. That did not make a difference..
I cannot tell how is advising who..Guy or Stephen,, no difference.
We may need another 40 star hotel.

Most interesting is what was not express, how did Asphalt and Mining role change from a tendering like all other construction company’s to being part of a consortium advising government. No wonder, other viable and more reputable companies cannot put in a decent bid.
