My heart goes out to the mother, and to the two ladies who were responsible for this little girl. They will be feeling incredible grief and guilt, and no-one would like to be in that situation. May Keddy rest in peace.

All parties involved in this tragedy should be held accountable ... and I do mean ALL!! This is a clear case of sheer irresponsibility. Let's hope we all learn from this unfortunate incident.

My deepest sympathy to the mother but also to the guardian of Keddy. Her grief and guilt cannot be immagined, she will need counselling for many years to come. We must also not forget the other three children.

We cannot condem and make judgements until we know the full facts.

Grief and guilt aside, I really feel for the child and other children in Saint Lucia. We bring into the world so many children without being able to cope with the responsibilities of raising them. The countless children raised by grandmothers, the children who don't know their mothers and fathers, the children... The quality of life of the Saint Lucian child leaves much to be desired. I do think things may be improving in that regard but that is meaningless for poor Keddy, left and left and left, and for being a good girl remaining quiet and safe in the car and trusting in those adults to whom she was told to listen to.... We teach them to cross the street and not to talk to strangers, what do they do when they're simply forgotten in a strange place? I can only imagine the fear and discomfort she went through in her final hours. RIP Angel.

From what I understand, this lady was not accustomed to having Keddy with her. She went about her usual morning routine while Keddy slept in the car. She parked and forgot entirely that Keddy was there until she asked a co-worker that afternoon to get something for her from the car. The co-worker told her there was a child in the car, and the child looked dead. The ambulance was called, but it was too late. It could happen to many people, especially if they were very preoccupied and basically functioning on autopilot. I am sure that the guilt of this will burden this lady for the rest of her life. Let the law do what it sees fit, but we should not judge her harshly.

it is such a tragedy..before we pass judgement i dare anyone of you who has done things routinely everyday and then all of a sudden that routine changed how did u feel. i can tell you sometimes i have to backtrack and see i had forgotten anything so before we pass judgement put yourself in this young ladies shoes. we are too quick to pass judgement

i am a st.lucian working in another isalnd and it a very sad situation and i don't think it is fair for this lady to be called iresponsible or judged by us.sympathy to all those involved.
one point though,if this car was not tinted at list she would have seen the child even when she was walking away from the vehicle.
just something new for the lucian public to keep in miind for a while
