The Castries East Learning Center

What amazes me is the blatant disregard for ethics and the law in this country. What this can be construed as is a foreign power providing direct assistance no to the state but to the United Workers Party - simple. People try to make it seem as if it is anything else but it is not.
1. Guy Mayers is the minister for home affairs. He is NOT the minister for education nor is he the minister for social transformation, either of which learning centres might fall. What business does Guy Mayers have establishing a learning centre in East Castries? If it was coming out of his own pocket, fine.
2. There is already existing in East Castries a fairly centrally located Entrepot Human Resourced Development Centre. These things are built to hold learning and training facilities. How then can Mr. Mayers justify placing a learning centre in the UWP office when there is a government built facility established to host just those kinds of things.
3. Who do the computers belong to? Does that mean that any building could host government facilities, that there should be no distinction between home, church or office? Who has authorized this? Is this how our government works? One expression comes to mind: vaie-ki-vaie
anybody from anywhere can give a gift of anything to any st. lucian that they want. taiwan is giving gifts to st. lucians and there is only one reason why slp is objecting. slp don't want lucians to appreciate taiwan.
This is a real comedy. As i see it , common sense would dictate that both the government and the Taiwanese embassador has erred in this situation.Putting a facility for the enhancement of a community trandcends beyond politics. There is already a government facility in the constituency and it should be utilized to its fullest capacity. Only foolssee things as fools. Come on folks , this is the twenthiet century. Open your corrupt eyes and let common sense and national pride be the order of the day.
