Oh shut up. U guys don't make any sense at all. I had to read this thing over and over again and I still can't make the gist of it. This statement looks as if it was prepared by a comic. LOL
"intervention of the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, and the United States top diplomat, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton"
The ambassador either does not have a clue about proper diplomatic protocol, or was duped by the UWP's unsuccessful candidate for East Castries into making such a blunder.
I hold no brief for either political party in St. Lucia. They have both failed miserably in advancing the cause of our people, yet have done an admirable job in furthering their personal interests.
Having said that, I believe that it is wrong for Mr. Mayers to goad Mr. Chou in making such a bone-headed move. I think that the SLP is right to protest but they should try to be reserved and diplomatic in their condemnation.
Hold the gentleman accountable not in contempt. The politicians should not try to use the ambassador to further their political agendas. Nor should Mr. Chou cross the lines of diplomacy in furthering his country's interests in St. Lucia.
This is what we reap for being a pawn in Chinese/Taiwan saga. As for the SLP New York tone down the rhetoric and the pomposity.
