What is Stephenson King's understanding of cutting cost? Is it an attempt to claim that he is cutting cost, while the ministers of his government and their wives continue their high life and travelling spree?

SUCH HOGWASH!!! How short does this man think our memories are? Prior to the UWP government coming in the ministries of Finance & Economic Affairs WERE ONE MINISTRY. The Ministry of Planning and Ministry of Housing were ONE ministry. It was when this government came into power and twisted the hand of Sir John for every man plus plus to get a ministry, they created 17 ministries, each with their own PS and administrative staff. Yes, that's right 17!!!! So yes, perhaps its now time Mr. King to cut costs and send yourselves home too.

This is just a start. Consolidating these ministries should also entail the Ministry of Education & Culture and the cutting of Gaspard Charlemagne, as well as the unnecessary administrative staff from the consolidated ministries.

Stop the abuse of government vehicles with NO EXCEPTIONS, that includes ministers, their cohorts and their concubines.

There are lots more that I cannot name by virtue of the fact that I am too far away from the action.

The Prime Minister is clearly working hard on his public relations campaign. If we had a more electorate and a less hypocritical and more analytical media and talk show circuit persons would understand how significant this issue is. Since last years budget when King was on the edge of losing his Prime Ministership, who knows what compromises, wheeling and dealing took place among the members of his cabinet and party to keep him there. His position is still very precarious, hence his inability to reduce the size of the cabinet nor make other cost cutting measures which include the interests of persons who has to be compensated after the party victory. An already centralized democracy is further being held hostage by party interests. This applies to both parties and it will be a good day when we have an electorate informed enough to salvage democracy from this system.
There are those who like him decry the action taken by workers and their unions. I think the general discourse on the issue is narrow and shallow and does not see through King's Shenanigans and his sorry situation.
