We should send Josie to La Toc. The man has lost it!

Send him to La Toc for not wanting to see Kenny back?

Truth be told? This whole thing was all about politics. I had a look at most of the demonstators. Most of them were supporters and members of the SLP.

I think people get too emotional about politics and that's sad. Political parties are there to oppose each other no matter if one of them has a good idea and people have to see the evil in it.

I remember growing-up, our neighbours wouldn't talk to us because my parents were affliated with a different party so I became an independent and therefore I vote with logics.

I vote for the good of the nation because I love my country. Call me a patriotic fool but the wellfare of my country comes before pond scums. So in the end most politicians do not put the country first.

Logically speaking the only one I see fit to run the country is Senator Chastanet because of his vision, his passion for the country's development and the selflessness he has continually demonstrated.

I share similar sentiments in an earlier posting re the Strike has ended.
I was dumbfounded about the level of invective and vitriol that was expressed by some on this board from both sides.

I appreciate impassioned responses that are based on logic and devoid of viciousness.

Let me say that the negotiations were doomed from the get-go because the government offer was made based on faulty assumptions of the country's future financial fortunes.

Whatever, financial forcasts that were made were fundamentally flawed and not based on sound financial analysis.

The situation was further exercerbated by the sudden deteriorating global financial situation. The government chose to use this as a pretext to disregard the legitimate claims of the unions.
The unions on the other hand turned a blind eye to that crucial element of the government's inability to pay.

However, when one looks at what would have prevented the disruption and dislocation in the economy and society, it is a sliver of one percentage point. (0.625) to be exact.

The lack of leadership and incompetence on both sides of the divide was glaring.

The day of reckoning is just around the corner.

I shudder to think about the future of the country in the face of a glaring dearth of leadership and statesmanship.

By the way, Mr. Josie, stay away from inane statements about St. Lucians think that Stephenson King being too black to run the country.

What we need is good principled, visionary, common sense laden, leadership colour is inconsequential. You know that well and don't be mischevious.
