I can't speak for the Government or Amy but I know that some countries will grant permanent residency if you plan to invest a certain amount of money in the country.

Now if you were born of Saint Lucian parentage then I think you are automatically a citizen, I'm not 100% sure but you can check Saint Lucia's constitution.

They can also grant her residency under the humanitarian compassionate class given the fact that back in England the paparazzi is a constant threat to her emotional and mental health.

In Amy's case Government can also grant her permanent residency status to boost tourism. Her $10 million fortune versus your no million dollar fortune should make a difference for investment in the country. Beside you reside in england(by choice)and Amy LOVES saint lucia and wants to reside here by choice. A choice for both... so don't be a whimp!

Doesn't say a lot about the island's credentials if it'd have to rely on Winehouse of all people merely staying there (not like she's asking to be a spokesperson for the country, is she?) to promote itself (as opposed to, say, the things that attracted the likes of Winehouse to the island in the first place), in my opinion.

"Beside you reside in england(by choice)and Amy LOVES saint lucia and wants to reside here by choice."

If one is eligible for citizenship then where they currently reside is irrelevant to the matter. Who cares if Winehouse supposedly loves the country? Is that meant to be all it takes to get citizenship on the island, say you love it and want to stay? Yeah, I didn't think so...
