Only jackasses will allow politics to control their minds. Once you see this cancer that to grow inside of you, people you were close too, and people that you once considered friends are tossed out of the window once they views is not like yours or they seem to represent a threat to you.
This is politics, the most evil system of all. All of sudden you lose all kind of sence in your head.
Jackasses and politics know how to walk hand in hand.
Only small minded people allow their different views of politics, to toss out their friends, i suppose everybody believe and want their views to be the best for their country. People who make enemies for politics, are the ones who are selfish, who either have some gain from one side or they they do not care if their side is good or bad for the country, they support for supporting sake. let us not make politics look like a bad thing, because this is our system which is democratic, this is how we get our leaders, they determine the type of life we live. They influence our lives in many ways, their develop our country, whether good or bad. We should expect people to have different views, we should be able to discuss politics in a civil manner, if we consider ourselves educated, we must learn to agree to disagree. let us not make politics look as an evil thing.
From a St Luican perspective it must be an evil thing. I would like to believe that it is not. But how does one not look upon poltiics as evil, when the so called educated in our midst are the very ones perpetuating hatred and division.
Having a political opinion and supporting a party is one thing, but allowing those views and affiliations to become the determining factor in how you judge those around you is another. Life here on this earth is too short to be spending it on the politics of venom. Here today gone tomorrow, a wasted life is how I would regard those who pursue venomous politics.
Young people beware! Plot your own future and build a better St Lucia.Don't allow anyone to use you for their own purposes.
I like teh tenor of these posts. It suggests that an awakening to teh reality of what is politics really is. It is inherently divisive and when unprincipled, unpatriotic, selfish, people become involved in it, it becomes an even greater destructive force. Politics feeds on itself and on the poor and ignorant. No longer does it attract men and women who have the people and the country at heart. It's no wonder once politicians get into power they fight like hell to hold on to it, all under the guise of wanting to serve the people.

Great evil can be found in both religion and politics.
