Okay, that Barre de 'isle area is a cursed stretch of road.
Last year, my cousin nearly went over the precipice by the hairpin bends when the brakes on the goods vehicle he was driving failed.
My sister had a friend who fell a sleep at the wheel in that area and ditched her vehicle off the side of the road.

A friend of mine died last year when the bus she was travelling in blew a tire, she flew out and the minibus capsized onto her.
And now this incident.
This placed needs to be renamed bad little hill.
We need a tunnel to replace that road.
That was certainly divine intervention!!!!. May god bless you two!!!
I think it was irresponsible of him to fall asleep when he knew he had a child with him, they call it child endangerment.

THE BARRE DE LISLE IS NOT BAD.i HAVE DRIVEN DOWN THE BARRE DE LISLE many times WHEN THEY WERE MAKING THE EAST COAST ROAD AND IT WAS UNPAVED ONE NIGHT AND LOTS OF RAIN.I DROVE A LAND ROVER THEN.i used the gears and no brakes to negotiate the very slippery road down to ravine poisson and then home to la clery.(additionally i had a couple of half nips already in my belly).
one just needs to be careful on all roads and the barre de lisle is no exception.
That driver must have fallen asleep.sleep can take a person VERY,VERY quickly when driving.A good thing to do if you feel sleepy when driving is simply pull over and sleep or if you have a companion who can drive safely turn over the vehicle to her or him.BY NO MEANS CONTINUE DRIVING IF YOU FEEL SLEEPY.Another good way to avoid sleeping at the wheel is sleep at home first or on the beach or under a coconut tree....no not under a coconut tree. (ha)You get the point though.BY all means sleep first,and drive when well rested.hope this helps

Thank God they came out ok. To the person who talks about child endangerment, it is not that easy to stop sleep when it hits you.(Death cousin).
