All I can say about this situation is this. "If those correctional officer were working for one of the major commercial establishments in St. Lucia, and were told that they were getting a new boss, one whom they did not want to work with, they would damn well have to accept it, or leave the job, or risk getting fired if they did not co-operate with that new boss. There is too much politics in this Bordelais affair.

The best training some of us have had is 'on the job'; so I agree with the Ministerto have the recruits at the Bordelais prison.
If the so called 85% wardens do not want to work with Herman, can you imagine what will happen if for instance, some other person is brought in to head the prison-someone other than those that they want in there? I hasten to say that the same thing would happen-'we don't like the style of management". So when does it stop.Perhaps we should let the 85% run things!

Winning an election doesn't make you make you a qualified candiate to ran a Government Mnistry... and worse off if you did not win! That's the problem with the present UWP government...square-pegs-in-round-holes! It is inconceivably shows that the Minister in charge of the Bordelais, Guy Mayers, is short on experience and know how to arrest the situation at hand. So now we have a situation where crime is on the rise and the jail house is in total chaos.

Mr. George is dead wrong. He should review his facts. It was the SLP who first installed Mr. Herman. They kept him there for almost 8 years. Kenny when his office use to praise his work. The problem is that Herman is to upright for those crooked officers in there. They are afraid that if he returns they won't be able to have a field day in lawlessness.

Havn't you ask yourself the question? Why is the SLP opposing someone who for years they trusted up until the day they left office? Is this politics as usual.

I read the article twice and did not see anything to suggest that the SLP was against the hiring of Mr. Herman.

Some of us Lucians just cannot take any criticism of one party for what it is worth instead of one party vs the other.
