St.Lucia is catching up with the world. In some big cities it is so bad you'll find a COP in every school.

We can still fix it before it becomes too late.

Dogs do not make cats{chien par ca fait chat}. What we put in is what we get out. Where are the parents in these situations? Are there working parent teacher's associations in these schools and what are they doing to alleviate these problems? How do we deal with at risk sudents and do we hold parents accountable for their children behavior? There must be more serious penalties for parents or persons who threaten school personnel. At risk students should be mandated to go through counselling along with their parents or guardians. Again are our social services equipped and receiving the necesary support from government to implement such a program? All we seem to care about in Lucia is money money money and economics economics economics while we fail to realise our most valuable resource is at great risk. Those in authority and the present adults of our society must take the responsiblity for allowing it to get to that stage and stop blaming the youth and work with them. Do not dictate, but work with them and make them feel that they are part of the solution instead of branding them as the problem. Again dogs don't make cats. The hypocracy in the society must stop. The majority of the blame lay on us the adults. We must stop passing the buck and leaving it to teachers to parent our children
