They sholdn't move it, it's part of our DNA in the south, perhaps they can relocate Hewannora to the north too.
Now I'm begining to think that the fire was arson or delibrate.

Is that a deleberate ploy to slight the ppll in the south and to ensure that their livelihood is taken from them? Or is it a plan to hurt Kenny Anthony in the next general elections? What is wrong with Stephenson King? Lord put a hand for our nation!!!

People they not removing the hospital from the south of the island. The south needs a hospital. So the person talking about moving Hewanorra to the north. Stop the whole politics thing you'll love to play.

The hospital will stay in the south. The only thing is that the UWP will bring it closer to VF South.

They know they can't win in VF north. It's better to take it closer to Kenny to change the political dynamics in the VF south. Remember they gave Kenny a bit of a scare the last time.

Read between the lines. Jobs jobs jobs and votes, votes, votes for UWP.

It will be near the stadium according to this site. Due to the fact the old area is too small and has hills etc. Kenny just afraid when the airport starts soon and the hospital people will get work in construction etc. So he running scared.

Kenny afraid of what? UWP can never win any sit is VF. This is not the first big project built in VF and the political land scape never change. There was the airport, big hotels, malls etc built in VF. UWP won a VF seat only one in my life time and i am not so young, that was when Odlum mash up the government. Nothing the UWP can do desperately will help them in the labour strong holds. How was Kenny scared the last time? He won his seat by a wide margin.

Not true. Kenny did win his seat by a wide magin. In the last election he won the seat with a reduce magin. The UWP had a called called Mondesir who could not speak and he still gave Kenny Chalair Gourge.

VF south have never been totally labour.

2006 UWP got 1000 more votes than it received in 2006.

but if yall listen to what the man said st judes isnt being moved its being expanded the ole facility will be rebuilt an maybe turned into a school of medicine whats so wrong in the in a country where young ppl have nothing to do with their time why everything good must be critized

Listen to what which man said? That is all UWP do is to PROMiSE and break grounds for projects. What about the projects they promised in the previous 3 budgets? What about the meat processing plant they broke ground for in VF, what about the housing project in Marigot, what about the new general hospital, what about the tunnel, what about the VF dam? etc, etc. They barely finished the mental hospital which was about 85% completed, so how do we expect them to build any new hospital? The Taiwanese cannot afford everything in St lucia, the government must get up on their laurels, eating out taxes and find other finance sources.

The only logical explanation to it is that it would be closer to the airport in case of an emergency landing.
But then you have the aircraft noise day and night, hope the patients wear earplugs.

The meat processing facility should start soon.... and the new General Hospital is under construction. Stop the politics. That;s all you''ll think about.

Namibia and Ghana in Africa are just two black nations which are openly complaining of the effects of huge purchase of land which are displacing locals who owned the land s for thousands years.
It would be nice if we took some example from these two nations who are our father and Mother and try listen to the lessons they are teaching us.
If we sell our coastal lands we imprison ourselves. If we sell our ports they become private property and access to and through them is and can be restricted according to the owners. If we sell our lands like this where shall we live?? In somebody elses country????
hulla

There is enough space where St. Judes is currently located. There is really no reason why St. Judes should be moved. Whoever did the cost benefit analysis supporting that decision should publish their analysis. Then again, was a cost benefit analysis even done????

The facts atated in the article are as follows: (1) St.Judes will be rebuilt into a state-of-the-art facility serving the south of the island and the southern Caribbean; (2)the new facility will be built IN THE SOUTH on a site that better allows for expansion than the present site.

So far I don't see any anything wrong in these facts. In theory a new site will eliminate the costs of demolishing buildings on the current site. I would like to see the planning details and the results of a cost-benefit analysis, IF one was done. The constituency representatives should be consulted...it's the decent thing to do, even though they are unlikely to support to anything the Government does.

DNA, my foot!

Fire? Arson? This shows exactly what's in your DNA. You demented idiot!

And who said anything about moving Hewanorra? Haven't you heard about a plan to spend $400+ million on Hewanorra Airport?

What's wrong with you man?
