CARICOM, what's that?

I feel your pain Sir shridath. CARICOM has been dismantled, brick by despairing brick. And sadly the demolition has been engineered by the region's leaders who have shown an appalling lack of vision, commitment, and understanding. The saddest part of CARICOM's demise is the shameless prostitution of the values and principles that were upheld by the early leaders. The clear message now is that the region is for sale, at any price. The region's support of Japan's whaling agenda is a case in point. Here we have a region that imports more Japanese cars per capita than any other region. Yet we feel that this is not enough on which to build a respectful relatioonship with Japan. Nowadays, Venezuela are the new 'sailors" in our midst. Tis a sad, sad situation we're in.
