It would be a really bad idea to pledge the HEWANORRA AIRPORT(or any other piece of st lucian resource) AS COLLATERAL for upgrading the airport.
Please let past experiences of other nations,and the Rochemel fiasco be be examples of the stupidity of such a move.
It would be easy for something INTENTIONALLY untoward to happen which would force the airport to close down and pass into the hands of some private FOREIGN company.
GENTRIFICATION is what drives these companies.Be good to yourselves don't do business that way.
I am getting very concerned as to the intentions of some technocrats and government ministers who seem to be in love with gentrification and are intent on signing away our resources.
who you going to turn to for resources Libya?You want to give away your resources and use somebody elses?
Why not develop your resources in conjunction with Libya,China or some other african country....but it seems that some people in leadership....most of them....want to cut their noses to spite their faces and then cry to some body ELSE to use the other person's nose!!!
DO you think Gaddaffi OR ANY OTHER leader are asses? Gaddafi keeps all Libya's resources and then uses that as a basis to invest HERE IN st.lucia and elsewhere,extending his country's economic reach.
It is about time that our technocrats and government leaders follow his economic example.
Study also the chinese example for some positve ideas on investment and resource development and stop letting some smoooth talking Westerner or enslaver who harbour dreams of neo colonisation make fools of you

when this is all over with we will look back an wonder why did we get on for this project when it will create thousands of jobs now an in the future an i dont think the government will give this airport to foriegn investers that will just end their careers

Hello Mr. "Hulla". Mr Ghadaffi is an Arab. Arabs have been the greatest slave traders in Africa. Go back to a good school and read the history books. Greeks, Romans, Chinese, Japanese, African tribe leaders and many more had their own slaves. It has has nothing to do with racisme but with bad and cruel behavior.

Hewanorra Airport needs a big face lift,it needs up dating.I think that it is a very good idea, and not a bad idea,a terminal is needed should be build when we land in st lucia we shouldnot come down the stairs of the airplane, because it is dangerous,sometimes people miss their balance coming down the airplane steps.Its about safety of the people going and arriving in St Lucia.That is a well deserve plan.Thank You Jesus!x x x x x x x
