This sounds amazingly like the sentiments of one of regular bloggers.

But that could not be because he says he is a conservative and the LPM are liberals.
Then again all the liberals in the US pretend to be "moderate" to get into power then revert to their destructive ways.

I embrace the thoughts of Mr. Prudent regarding finding solutions to the crime situation in St lucia. Investing more capital in after school programmes, sports and assisting single parent families will do a great deal more than focusing soley on law enforcement. In my opinion there should also be government funded social programmes like adult education in areas of parenting, human relationships customer service and the like.

I totally agree with u. The position the LPM have taken on crime is an eye opener. I really like their progressive style.

All those who want to turn Crime into a polytricks football aren't talking for the rest of the country.

you have a point however we will never be able to solve all the ills of society,however we do need a police force who see them selfs as servants of the people and not arrogant thugs...if the average joe trust the police and see our justice as being fair that could make a world of difference in our attitudes towards law enforcement...attitudes need to change....booze,cigg and cocaine is causeing much more death and destruction also draining the treasury much more than ganja...may be allowing medical ganja will allow more people to report real crime....something to think about....
