Build a park for when tourist come into the port they will have something beautiful to look at. So much money to spend on a park for which tourist? Who will want to come to this crime infested country of which its government cannot seem to get a handle on things. Why didn't they spend half of what they intend to spend on the park to stop crime. Frederick and Chastanet can spend the world on beautifying and marketing St. Lucia that will be to no avail because no one will want to come to a crime infested country headed by criminals.
Everything for tourists. What about St. Lucians. What about taking that money and building an arcade where these vendors the City Council is pushing around can rent a a low cost?
Is the park necessary at this time. What about taking the money to hire more police to patrol the streets to ensure the safety of the citizens and visitors.
Amen, #1...why not beautify the surroundings of the Fisheries Complex and remove all those small, beaten up, ugly boats, they can further start with cleaning up all the plastic bottles there as well...imagine the first impression of St Lucia these tourists and others are getting when they just unboard.
Then, the streets of Castries, walkways are traps; smelly, black, dirty and diseased infested uncovered gutters...dont start me, bon!
