Another "front" for more drug entry into the Island.
I hope containers coming to offload for this place is properly and thoroughly checked.

Open up a gambling casino.
Makes perfect sense.

'LET THE GAMES BEGIN' riiiight. The last thing this country needs is a casino.How about getting down on our knees to pray. LET THE CRIME AND MURDERS BEGIN. Because a casino is like adding further insult to injury. WAY TO GO GUYS. SO SAD FOR OUR COUNTRY
It was about time; now I do not have to take a plane ride to Las Vegas. Thank you Treasure Bay and the relevant authorities.
We behave like gambling is new to St Lucia. I am 36 years old and as far I can remember St Lucians have been gambling all my life. In what category are we supposed to put “The National Lottery?” What about “Braggs” that is played in every local community bar on the island? What about the cruelty to rosters (my opinion) we call “Cork Fighting” As we serious? Or are we just complaining because we can and do not have the funds to participate.
There needs to be another article that explains the benefits financially that this casino is expected to bring in tax revenues. And hopefully Treasure Bay gets involved with bringing funding to schools and community programs. This can have a positive effect if Government governs this entity and hasn't cut too many deals with them.

This will give our economy a much needed boost. For all those who do not support, I say stop the hypocrisy.
For the ignorant fool who thinks USD is discrimination. Tell me which visitor would like his winnings in EC Dollars.....
Also, for the person who thinks that playing with US dollars is discrimination I would like to ask : Where apart from the OECS is the EC dollar accepted?
This casino will bring nothing positive to the island.Those of you who are pro casino,visit the casino and you will see its local's in the casino. When visitor's come to Saint Lucia they are coming for the sun,sea and the beautiful sites not casino .In a few years you will see some gambling addict's lose their home.I worked in a casino in the USVI and 99.9% of the gamblers are locals. This casino and Divi in the USVI belongs to the same owner, employees's from the USVI are in Saint Lucia training. Ask and they will tell you that Divi only attracts locals and I don't see how it can be different back home when we have so much more to offer visitors than the USVI.
The casino is not a government imposed tax. In other words one has a choice if he or she wants to participate. There is an age requirement to gable in the casino, and as far as I know, one must be 18 years or older to gamble. In my opinion a human being at age 18 is an adult that is supposed to able to make his or her own decision. I am a 40 year old male; I have no intention of trying my luck at Treasure Bay Casino, but I have no problem with adults who fancy this type of entertainment. If one is stupid enough to lose his or her house and or other important belongings that remains their problem. However, entertainment comes in many different ways and the casino just brings another option.
i think church goers should focus on their pastors violating young girls in their churches.
