This is totally political so that no one sings songs to expose and embarrass this lousy government. It won't work. Money can't buy silence. It's the post colonialism era.

To promote national development now, calypsonians need to write/sing songs to expose the present government's ineptitude;

- growing unemployment
- increase in fuel price, even when it is on the decrease internationally
- failure to address damage by Tomas(Barre D'Lisle, Soufriere, Bexon)
- failure to address corruption by government officials
- etc, etc.

These are the kind of calypsos I would award best development calypso - the re-development process begins when we get rid of this UWP administation.

My take is we need to blame the newspaper writers for not bringing Information and to enlighten our people to make good choices.
But we most of the times get juicy stories whiles the fabric of our society is deteriorating.
What has gone wrong with the voice in not writing about this incompetent goverment.
