Interesting read but some-what bias. From conception were percieve our surroundings through the senses.We know a flame is hot because we feel it's heat upon the skin thus we stay within reasonable distance to avoid being burnt. It is our senses that helps us understand, adapt and survive in our environment.Therefore, that knowledge is learnt and will always be true. Imagine the consequences had we not have the sense of touch. As for mirages, and mirror images, they indeed exist as photons - the basic particle of light. Therefore nature acts upon these particles thus creating illusions. Indeed these are very complex scientific principles which this forum in the interest of time and space will not accommodate. In relation to your question,'How shall we know whether we are following inspiration from God or satan's prompting of the human soul?....by the breaths and promptings of the Holy Spirit which is light and knowledge itself'...to you I ask sir, how would one know who prompts the soul when 1) God no longer directly speaks to us, 2)whether you agree or disagree, we are inherently human beings depending on our senses for survival.( That we cannot run away from)
