Surely Carlton, with your "clout" ... YOU could have arranged some kind of memorial to honour La Borde, or proposed an event with the CDF (that is what they are there for).
At least, you and your friends decided on a cemetary event - better than nothing.
Personally, I think some of us artistes need to get together and propose/plan a "remember our dead artistes" with the assistance of the CDF ... and make it an annual event.
All that is needed is one day/night. I am sure it can happen.
Those who lost their lives through violent acts - this is one way of keeping the "investigative" light ablaze. Also those who lost their lives through a rare disease - this would also be a perfect opportunity to highlight their plight, etc, etc.
I think it would be a good thing ... we have to talk!!
