Quotable Caribbean

Is there any chance that Caribbean commentators will stop chasing and highlighting the talk and zoom in on the action of the leaders for a change? Or, is it that there has been no substantive action following all the talk, that writers have grown accustomed to confusing the two, substituting one for the other, and obliviously and cheerily granting both equal importance and significance?
Pm King, hope you are also committed to ensuring that criminals within the region are not made to freely displace their criminal behaviors in St. Lucia, when all those restrictions are removed in August.
Our P(m) must know that there are ways to make poignant statements without having to be so direct. The words for the day for our Pm are "tact" and "intelligence". Please use those more often.
Humpty-Dumpty CARICOM meetings make me smile. These so-called leaders find reason to trip over each other to congratulate themselves for 50 years of trying to put together HUMPTY-DUMPTY. This is the same Humpty-Dumpty that the majority of Jamaicans have boldly, unequivocally, and consciously said they have no interest in. By way of a referendum, the Jamaican people scuppered the Federation, and for the record, registered proudly their opposition to what it stands for.
At each Heads of Government meeting however, these so-called leaders with solemn words, religiously try to put the scattered remains of 'the West Indies Federation's Humpty-Dumpty Mummy' back together again. They do not seem to ever get the message. Now that's a very cruel joke on their populations back home.
What is worse is this. They without showing any signs of embarrassment whatsoever have been doing this for some 50 years now. If this were not so pathetic, it would be comical.

Yes #1, why don't knock off the BS for a change?
